Since we have some new readers, I guess that introductions are in order. Pictures one and three are of Beckham, who is sixty odd (and I do mean odd in oh so many ways) pounds of malevolence. The center picture is Satchmo, a very sweet dog for whom we, in our innocence, purchased Beckham as a companion.
Ever see Whatever Happened To Baby Jane? Yeah, it’s a lot like that.
Both dogs appear here every Thursday night otherwise there is potential for rioting in the comments the likes of which makes yesterdays look like Quaker Day at the Petting Zoo.
By the way, I hope everyone noticed that the basset favicon is back.

Yeah noobz, Beckham is the one with the football helmet head. Helix High football I think.
Like a trusted shirt that somehow got misplaced, this fits perfectly. New digs but it’s still T’s place. And we know this because of the bassets. Thanks, T.
And every now and then, the Boggs bring in some female bassets for some slobbering love … it usually happens while this soundtrack is playing …

Really, they do, I swear.
New reader from FDL here. Having you all here is gonna be fun.
It wouldn’t be Tbogg’s place without the bassets. Everyone’s getting settled in and everything’s going to be ok.
T, you must have been laying on the ground to get that low shot of Satchmo! You photo skills are getting good!
Nice to see the dogs!
Dig the dogs in their new digs.
Beckham is clearly in no mood to put up with any flak. Satchmo, as usual, looks over the proceedings with benevolence.
And, for a few moments, all is once again right with the world.
Satchmo has the sweetest sad eyes. I’m guessing Beckham is the pot-stirring troublemaker in the household. Do they howl much?
owwooo bassets! Cool. Have they met poodles next door yet?
I love the swinging ears on that Beckham. Satchmo is sad that all the commenters are upset.
And bless the favicon, though I had to clear my cache to see it.
Hi Flamedogs! {{waves}}
(the Mrs said the new name was cool)
Satchmo looks like he has the wisdom of the world in his face, and that knowledge leads him to the fact that it is time to take a nap.
madmommy, are you referring to Bogg’s bassets or commenters?
TGIT night basset blogging. Let the world begin anew.
Photo Number One is Beckham doin’ his “Big ears, big paws, and ya *know* what that means!” routine for the ladiez. He figgers there’s a new audience out there, and maybe some of us never heard about the infamous Green Throat Incident. Can’t blame a dawg for tryin’…
I miss green Beckham. He was so. . . colorful.
No, no, no, no! Don’t do it! Don’t go there! Next you are going to say you have to go do something, and you are going to be saying goodnight to John Boy and Mary Ellen and…
You’re totally right. I won’t do it again.
Time to go to bed anyway.Oh, this is going to be hard….Satch looking beatific as usual. What do you hear from the Vatican about his canonization proceedings? They need to hear about the miraculous healing of Beckham’s green fur.
Nothing more soulful than a Basset’s eyes…
Not exactly the first thing you think of when you think of “fire dogs”.
This is nice. More people will be exposed to what sets Tbogg apart from the rest of the species.
Ahh! I see Beckham has entered his “I don’t dance” phase. Don’t worry. It only lasts for a year or two and it’s less noticeable than his “green” phase.
Satchmo really does look like St. Francis – very soulful. Beckham, on the other hand…..his devilish ways make me laugh!
I sure am glad to see the bassets. I was a little bit afraid they weren’t going to make the move. I remember the humorless folks at Washington Monthly wouldn’t let Kevin do catblogging for a while. Glad to see FDL is more enlightened. Those are good introductory pix of the boys: Beckham is looking properly malevolent, while Satchmo is amazingly soulful. Maui and Molokai say hello, and hope the boys like their new digs.
Nope, “sleeping dogs” maybe
For those new to TBogg, here are links (below) to a couple old posts concerning his first dog Cooder, which were posted on St. Paddy’s day (for reasons that become apparent when you read the first link). The second link (March 2007) has several nice photos, and refers to the first link (March 2005), which has the full story. It is some excellent writing, so sweet and sad (in its ending) that it brings me to tears even after having read it several times by now.
This link from March 2005 is the original post about Cooder; This March 2007 post references the earlier post, but has photos not in the original account.
Tbogg testing the waters before going straight to bassett penis?
Or that would be basset…bassett being a brand of game-show furniture
I tell ya, Arthur would have had some really serious discussions (not to mention issues) with the Damned Poodles if the Boyz weren’t here.
Thank you for the favicon! Plus I learned a new word. You’re the gift that keeps on giving.
LooMar, thanks. I was going to ask but felt a little leery of self-identifying as Not a Regular Follower — prior to today, I mean!
Just read the posts you linked, LooMarr. Again, thanks.
*wipes tear*
Approaching the new digs with trepidation, but reassured to see the boys remain as bassalicious always.
I miss the stones. It was always nice to know you had stones.
I know that expression on the bottom pic of Beckham well from my Bassett.
thank heavens! I was afraid that the boys wouldn’t make the move with you!
whew.
It’s the guyz ! Thank Heaven they handled the move with their customary aplomb.A smooch and a “back atcha, bud” to the bassets.
