Slightly OTT, but–

Fuck Fuckabee.

He thinks the earth is younger than written language.

Younger than human civilization.

Younger than lizard civilization.

Younger than multicellular aggregation.

Younger than unicellular life.

Younger than the fucking earth itself could ever possibly be.

Fuckabee is insane beyond the understanding of even George W. Bush.

Even Commander Codpiece admits the earth is millions of years old.

Fuckabee has it pegged at October 23, 4004 BCE.

This thing is deserving of nothing but hatred and ridicule and anyone who sees a shade of a shadow of of any possible forward-thinking solutions to the problems of humanity from this Omnipotent-Young-Earth-Space-Daddy worshipping automaton…if you’re reading this, there is no help for you.

If by current you mean still writing and singing, then it has to be John Prine. He is as strong today as when Steve Goodman first introduced Prine to Kris Kristofferson.

If you mean current generation, it is hard to get away from Pink (Dear Mr. President) . Or a if little older, David Wilcox.

(BTW this new blog engine seems to be advancing blogging in the same manner that Yugo advanced automobiles.)
