In 1994 or 1995, I once stopped by a crappy little place near Wareham, MA, called The Approach. It was the quintessential dive bar / fire hazard in the middle of nowhere, with a legal capacity of maybe 80 people. The sign outside – which was high enough to be seen from Route 28 but which only had about 2/3 of the letters required to qualify as non-gibberish – read “Thursday – Ladies Night. Wednesday – Quiet Riot.”

I thought that was depressing, because I had fond memories of Quiet Riot from my youth. But the difference between Quiet Riot (and Night Ranger, in your own example) and Josh Romney is that the former were actually something in their own right. Who the hell is Josh Romney, and what the hell has he ever done? There’s no way he’ll accomplish as much as half of a “Sister Christian” or even “Mama Weer All Crayzee Now” – at least, not without a lot of help from daddy.

Who do I hate more, Night Ranger or the Romneys?
