I was going to do something special this night before…well, you know. But then the great Oscar Peterson passed away yesterday, and there is nothing that I could do that would come close to this.
Of course, that doesn’t mean that we can’t have a visit from the ghost of Christmas past

Hey, what happened to the comments at “A Very Lileks Christmas?” Why have they been removed?
Shame about Peterson, but he had a nice long gig.
Oh yeah, nuttin like some Christmas Eve music.
According to NORAD’s Santa Tracker, at this moment (approximately 10:02 PM EST) Santa Claus is flying over Gitmo. So if he doesn’t finish his appointed rounds you know where you can find him.
Happy Holidays everyone!!! (And extra skritches to the boys.)
Linda

I’ve always been vaguely disturbed that NORAD tracks Santa. Kinda wonder if he’s gonna be target practice one year.
Joyeux Noel, y’all.
Farewell, Oscar. You were a true giant in the jazz world.
“Blues Etude” on the “Trio” album never fails to amaze me.
Thanks, TBogg, for posting the video.
