I agree. I find that when I run the latest (beta-testing bastards) comsympinko double refractor software, I get a constant hardon for re-runs of “Emergency!”

On the local evening news, here in southern Upper Massachusetts (the part which abuts the media market containing almost half of registered NH voters), Willard has a new ad which starts with him standing in front of an American flag and explaining in his best Powerpoint Ranger voice “People don’t vote for the past — people vote for the future!!!”

I kid you not. Apparently it’s been decided that Romney’s latest string of common-peoploids-attacking-McCain ads, which have been run at least once per ad break on every local station for the last 6,000 years, were not Making The Sale. Or else my earlier prediction is already in play, and the RNC visited Mitt over the weekend and made him an offer the Five Bros wouldn’t let him refuse: Shut up & campaign as the bottom half of McCain’s Unity ‘08 tour, and once Old John has served his role as Sacrificial Elderly-Mutton-Dressed-As-Lamb, Mitt gets the Permanent Party backing in 2012.

I just hope Old John has enough stamina left after tomorrow to personally guarantee that Willard really, really spends the next 10 months regretting he ever got greedy about the World’s Coolest Corner Office, because as much as I hate every friggin’ Repub befouling the airwaves this winter, I hate Willard just that little bit worst.

Funny, in an earlier “I hate this format” thread I had been touting the Opera browser. I haven’t had any problems, until today when I followed a link from Digby to FDL– my first time there in the new format. The sidebar overlays the main “screen”, and I couldn’t read the post at all– just the title and then the comments. I had to fall back on IE to see it.

On the Mac I have at work, I am running three different browsers simultaneously: Opera for standard work, Camino (with the Gecko engine) for Gmail, and Safari (ugh) just to stream Sirius Satellite Radio.

Can’t we all just get along?

Today I found I was having difficulty accessing TBogg and TPM using IE, even after rebooting my Windoze PC. Fortunately, I had no such problem with the Opera browser. Which makes me wonder if someone is up to dirty tricks using the 90% market share IE browser, or if some new advertizing has hit a bug in IE.

Given that the presidential race may well be decided tomorrow, it is absolutely crucial to get topical snark in a timely manner.
