Governor, I didn’t have silver spoons or boarding schools or a verb summer, but I know enough to thank God for the job creators, the natural economic stimulators, capitalism. Is this the Republican primary of a John Edwards rally?

In her case, by job creators, she means non-profit and non-profitable wingnut welfare operations that employ her to lobby for the rich and chastise the poor for being a bunch of whiners.
Meanwhile the economy is just fucking great and I can’t wait to join the Lucky Duckies class.
(Added) Dr Sanity is just sick and tired of all these people who won’t let the free market sort these things out.
Where is the candidate who will proudly stand up for the free market? Who will say that too much government is the problem and that the solution is to do away with government regulation that is stifling economic freedom in Michigan and elsewhere?
Which is just adorable coming from someone who has been sucking at the government tit for her entire career. It’s not that these people have no mirrors, it’s that they have no reflection…

I treally hate to talk about people.
But Kathryn Jean Lopez is a gross fat pig. Ugly, too.
And her politics blow.
I don’t think the people being exploited by the “job creators” for poverty level wages without benefits are thanking God for them. I thank God for Unions, which without over 99% of us would be living below the poverty line while being exploited. Even those without unions benefited by what they did, although the middle class that votes GOP will never want to admit it.
I can see Chelsea in the 1980s being a rather depressing, glum place. Hell, large swatches are like that now. So I can see her seething with envy (or burning with desire) about money — because you can live in a shitty row house or public housing near incredible wealth. It’s always odd to come across someone who would tune out empathy for those from a similar place and become a suck-up to those who probably laughed at her as a child.
Her insular belief, however, in the “natural economics” of capitalism is belied by her textbook example of Wingnut Welfare rung-climbing. None of those places — save for the WSJ — make money or exist in pure market terms. They are either non-profits or money-sucking organs of rich people.
In an honest market, Lopez would never make a cent by writing.
K-Lo and Jo-Go deserve each other. A match made in a Kristol Palace? Fuck “Liberal Facism”, they’re the real deal for the 21st Century.

Obviously, the current mortgage crises is the result of too much government regulation, just like the S&L Crisis, insider trading and every little “Love Canal.” If we had no regulation, everybody would behave well and treat each other fairly.
As a bald, obese, pasty white American (but on a diet, I swear), I do not hold with judging people by their appearance.
But her politics, hypocrisy, and general idiocy combine to make K-Lo yet another repugnant, piss-poor excuse for a human being.
I mean, shit, if you want to criticize the Huckster, there are plenty of legitimate reasons to do so. Like his recent insistence that the Constitution meet “God’s standards.” Mike, if you can find the place in Revelations where it is foretold that the Constitution will be amended, maybe I’ll rethink it. Until, then, keep your God to yourself.
We probably shouldn’t be so hard on K-Lo. I mean it must be hard on the poor girl when the guys down at the office spend more time staring at J-pod’s tits than her own.
Huck may be a nut, but his populist rhetoric is pretty good. Glad to see it drives them crazy over at NRO.
BTW, please, no more links to Dr. Sanity. The rants of libertarians who believe they have a simple answer for everything is just as annoying as the ones coming from Focus on the Family.

It is not necessary or even desirable to mock Kathryn Jean Lopez’s physical appearance; her mind is much uglier.
It seems there are only two kinds of people in the Republican Party these days: those who were born on third base and think they hit a triple, and those who were born on second base but dammit, they weren’t spoiled and priviledged like those guys on third!
Loved the Dr. Sanity interview. There seems to be a little irresolvable glitch in her thinking, though.
