How oh how will we ever know who Republican Michiganders (Michalopes? Michofacists?) really want as their presidential nominee? While certain subversive types were promoting votes for Mitt Romney , Lieberman for Lieberman Party homunculus, Joe Lieberman, was out pimping his BFF John McCain:
ABC News’ Bret Hovell Reports: Sen. Joseph Lieberman called on Michigan’s Independents and Democrats on Tuesday to come out and vote for Sen. John McCain in the Republican primary, saying he is convinced that McCain will "become our next great American president."
"I urge them to come out today and stand for a man who is a great American patriot," Lieberman said at a joint town hall meeting with McCain in Ann Arbor, Mich.
"There’s no competitive Democratic primary," Lieberman added. "I know there’s some other moderate and conservative Democrats like myself."
He is speaking, of course, about Peter Beinart and, you know… Republicans.
So would this primary mean a mandate (in a strictly non-Jeff Gannon way) for John McCain? Not according to Mitt:
McCain’s rival for the Republican nomination, former Governor Mitt Romney, R-Mass., suggested Tuesday that if McCain wins in Michigan, it will be because of the crossover votes from non-Republicans.
So that’s a bad thing, right? Mrs. Hugh Hewitt Romney doesn’t think so:
Cue the fat lady for Huck and McCain. The former can’t get above 15% with a huge effort, and McCain can’t win in an open primary state, one crucial to the fall, even when the Dems take a bye?
Quite frankly, Hugh and Mitt need to get on the same page (in a strictly non-Mark Foley way).

I can’t figure out which is more disturbing: reading about Loathsome Joe Lieberman’s latest feces-flinging moment, or having my retinas burned to a crisp by that fucking “WARNING” ad.
That made me a litle nauseous…
Well, if ya’ll want to see a true politician on the campaign trail, head on up here, because the Big Dog himself is scheduled to be in Humboldt county tomorrow to campaign for his wife.
Yup, Big, bad Bill Clinton will grace the Northcoast with his presence, and as one commenter on the local paper’s site stated “this time he’s going to inhale.” And how.
Looks like Markos had a little more pull with those independents than Holy Joe. Can the Great Orange Satan swing Florida for Rudy and turn the convention into a clusterfuck to end all clusterfucks?
Glad to see you up and about, Tbogg.
Never underestimate the stupidity of the ‘Murikan people. I have no respect for McCain but to his credit he told Michiganers that the auto jobs were gone!
Mitt lied & pandered and claimed he’d fix it!! This will by forgotten by Lord Holy Underpants tomorrow, & couldn’t be done even were he sincere– a word not in his vocabulary.
The LIEberman might’ve caused McInsane a few votes, but bank on it, it was the optimistic crapola that endeared Mittster to the Repuke voters.
What I want for 2008 from politics:
Dem Prez (naturally);
61+ Dem Senators;
New Dem Senate Majority Leader Chris Dodd;
Joe Lieberman stripped of any leadership role whatsoever.
If all of that goes down, I’ll be good with that.
Right on Capt…couldn’t agree more.
Although I would prefer a slightly more robust ending to Lieberman’s career and influence.
How ’bout– forced to resign after being caught in wetsuit incident w/ Senators Graham and McConnell?
Will there be condoms involved? I’ll donate the necessary batteries.
Might as well up the ante and throw in a donkey and a dead hooker.
Lieberman is a fucking disgrace. He seriously needs to get the payback he so richly deserves, the same damn way he fucks over us Dems, slowly, deliberately and often until the bastard either retires or falls over dead.
He is in no way, shape or form a Democrat. He is a Right Wing Republican. Period.
Put me down for a couple of wet suits and a vibrating dildo.
“Joe Lieberman stripped “
Reading that is uncomfortable.
Jeebus man, did you really have to point that out?
Yeah, that’s what’s wrong with Michigan’s economy: too much government regulation.
This level of ignorance and bad faith is willful. But how can they have absolutely no shame about it?
Awesome.
Now it’s time to pray that Giuliani wins Florida.
