It seems that, once upon a time, terrorist-loving Republican Rep. Mark D. Siljander employed one Debbie Schlussel, whom you may remember as "I Can Get It For You Wholesale" Ann Coulter. Gasps Debbie:
In general, nothing shocks me about Islamic terrorists and which American politicians are aiding and abetting him.
But today, I am truly shocked beyond belief as I read that my former boss, former U.S. Congressman Mark D. Siljander, was indicted in an apparent scheme to help an Islamic charity fund Al-Qaeda and the Taliban against Americans, to the tune of $130,000:

Mark Siljander, who represented a Congressional district in Western Michigan, is the last guy I’d think would do this. I hope the allegations are not true, but it sounds like he is involved in a very bad scheme to help fund Islamic terrorists and their schemes to murder Americans. It’s so shocking. What happened to my former boss in the years since he was the most pro-Israel, the most anti-Islamist Congressman on Capitol Hill?
I don’t know. But here’s why I’m so shocked. When I worked for Mark Siljander, in the summer after my junior year of high school, and again when I was headed to college, I was just 16, but more than an intern. I wrote speeches for him, I helped tutor him in Hebrew, which he learned to speak and write, and I accompanied him to many events.
Yes. I can’t imagine what could have come over him considering that Debbie Schlussel was once his intern.

And those speeches were written by a 16 year old Debbie Schussel, who has proven incoherent well into middle age?

According to Debbies principles, convictions and writings, she is guilty of being a terrorist sympathizer.
Her whining about it doesn’t change the fact that she worked for an alleged terrorist financier.

It’s so hard to know what to think of this, given the fact that Debbie Schlussel’s writings and reality have not even a passing acquaintance. But I do notice that the central point of these events is, of course, that they involve, however tangentially, Debbie Schlussel.
One thing is certain, though. Debbie is NO Tracy Flick.
This may be more complicated than it seems, given that involves Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, who is, let’s say, a figure of dubious and shifting allegiances going back to the original Reagan days of the fight in Afghanistan, when he received AK47s and shoulder-fired missiles by the crateload. He wasn’t placed on the US shit list until 2003. I’m in no position to judge the indictment, and Siljander is accused of trying to cover his ass by lying to investigators. Poor Debbie.
Few people in America know anything about Gulbuddin Hekmatyar but he has been a major player in Afghanistan since the 1970’s. He’s a fanatic Islamist, murdering thug and he used to be the CIA’s boy in William Casey’s day. He’s a very interesting, and disgusting, figure.

If I understand the charges against Siljander, then I’m concerned that the hummous that I had for lunch last week may land me at Gitmo. That shit was tasty, and then I committed WFWSP (Was Friendly With Sand People).
Basically what Siljander is guilty of is Doing Business With Scumbags, a bad habit he appears to have had for years:
