Jason is so weak, he can’t even get a good Alec Rawls-style pile-on going around here. That is just sad.

Hmmm… Funny how the two candidates who’ve received the most in campaign contributions from military personnel are Paul, the only Republican who says he’ll end the war, and Barack Obama, considering the “87% moderate to conservative” military. Funny how being moderate or conservative doesn’t necessarily translate into wanting to continue this fiasco. Especially when it’s your own ass on the line. Or is this weasel going to consider Ron Paul a liberal?

Also funny how military campaign contributions to Democrats went from 23% in 2002 to 40% as of last September. Gee, what’s happened since 2002 that would cause so many service members to want to give money to Democrats?

http://www.capitaleye.org/inside.asp?ID=300

Oh, but you know who definitely continues to support the Republicans far more than the Democrats? Defense contractors, that’s who. Wonder why that might be? What on earth would they stand to gain by keeping Republicans in power? I’m sure that they want to continue occupying Iraq indefinetely because they’re patriots.

Interesting that the defense industry is, for the moment, slightly more supportive of Dems that Reps for the first time since 1994. Either they haven’t yet pulled out the stops for the general election, or they see the writing on the wall for the GOP and want to keep their influence.

The best wingnut meme ever:

You’re not a __________, but you still support ____________, you DFH hypocrite.

What the fuck kind of retarded logic is that?

Everyone who has ever lived relies on the expertise of those who do what they do not.

Jason, for example, is an idiot. Every day he relies on those who are not homicidal toward idiots preventing those who are from eugenicizing his wasteful ass.

Jason, for example, is a coward. Every day he relies on those clueless enough to pick up a weapon in “defense” of something they “believe in” to give his “War of Ideas” a war.

Jason, for example, is a welfare case. Every day he relies on people even stupider than he is to give him money to articulate the batshit crazy they think about but can’t actually communicate.

See how this works?

A society functions through the symbiotic interaction of its members. Teachers teach. Firefighters fight. Doctors doct.

Even wingnuts must rely on the kindness of strangers. Particularly moronic bloviators like Jason Mattera.

So, Jason, you cite numbers from a poll that God knows who conducted. And you lump in the 39% of moderates with conservatives. Most of the people here would probably classify themselves as moderates and they all think the war in Iraq is a debacle of biblical proportions. You can go online and find polls that say Kucinich or Paul are the leading contenders for the presidency. That doesn’t make it so.

I’m sure Tbogg supports the police, but he’s not a cop. Likewise, both liberals and conservatives can support a war without engaging in it.

Yes, and he probably supports firefighters, too. But, he’s not out starting fires to give them some business which is what we did for the military in Iraq.

Jason needs to take some remedial reading classes, maybe there are some minority scholarships available.

TBogg didn’t question the ideological makeup of the military. He questioned your lame ass self-rationalization of your choices when confronted by the inherent hypocrisy of same. Totally different.

Crap. That’s three minutes of my life I won’t get back. I did have to laugh at the whole Soros’ is buying the youth vote spiel. I would say he is stupid, but honestly, he is calling black white and he thinks his listeners are stupid.

“Conservative youth are joining the military because they don’t care about politics.” Huh? You mean those petty criminal high school dropouts that they are recruiting are natural conservatives??? Lame-o. And, how about all those conservative icons, GW, Dick, Rush, and all the Viet Nam-era draft dodgers??? Yeah, young conservatives just flock to defend their country by getting their asses shot at. Not.

Butthead.

The LAST thing liberals want to do is question the ideological makeup of the military. 83 percent of servicemen describe themselves as moderate to conservative. Only 8 percent—8 percent—describe themselves as liberal. Secondly, it’s an intellectually defenseless argument to say that every person who supports the military must therefore join. I’m sure Tbogg supports the police, but he’s not a cop. Likewise, both liberals and conservatives can support a war without engaging in it. But as the numbers above show, conservatives compose the brunt of the armed forces. Liberal politicians don’t need to worry about young people leaving their campaigns to defend America. Way too easy: http://media.yaf.org/blog/?p=118

Can someone track down the lineage of the ‘no, it strengthens my argument / indeed, it is central to my point’ response to being pwn3d? It’s obviously being taught in the ‘Embarrassment and Hypocrisy Aversion’ section of Wingnut Welfare Finishing School.
