Shorter Andrew McCarthy:
I fear that I shall never get over having a victim of torture dismiss my quaint theories about torture.
Obama gave us boilerplate, he was on a roll early, fell right back into that stump speech, wood chip compost all the way.
All Hail!
Presenting The Circular Wingnut Firing Squad!
Oh, yeah.
_____ willing, they’ll shoot each other to pieces.
Praise _____.
If a wingnut protests the conduct of his own in the forest… should we give a shit? Or just sit back and watch the show unfold?
Yay! What? That’s a bad thing? Here’s one of my favorites. Hillary or Obama is going to become Jimmy Carter, and Mitt has to put on the hairshirt and wander in the desert for 4 years only to come back as the invincible Ronnie 2.0.
The wingnuts are never going to give up on torture, unless it seems likely that it will be applied to THEM. And since they’re good pale-skinned christists, why should they worry?
Why, it’s not as if a bunch of pale-skinned christists committed mass TREASON against the USA, killing hundreds of thousands in the process, now is it? Well, that was a long time ago. And it’s not as if someone just like them committed a terrorist bombing against a federal building in the US heartland, either?
Otherwise, the only prudent thing to do would be to torture the lot of them, “just in case”.
I am just so glad that Hillary will have these powers to deal with any terrorist traitors that pop their heads up after November.
Hey, click through that piece. Did you know that Senator McCain should be respected for his “championing of the troop increase that prevented a humiliating defeat for the United States in Iraq?” ‘Cause I didn’t realize the surge was the only thing stopping us from a “humiliating defeat.” Man, that was a close one.

Andrew McCarthy? I’m supposed to listen to the opinions of someone whose previous career high was bagging Jacqueline Bisset in Class?
Well, OK. But he lost me by relying on the opinions of Victor Davis Claus von Bulow Hanson.
About half way through McCarthy’s piece I felt like I was listening to a coworker rant about why they did or didn’t get a upset after Sheila told her boss about what Lorenzo emailed the group about the lunch choices at the staff meeting when she never told anyone she was going to, which would be fine if that was what everyone else was OK with, but …blah …blah …injustice…blah…blah…totally unfair…
Whatever.
