With great fanfare, Sleepytime Country Fred Thompson endorses John McCain.
Last Friday, actually. Right after Matlock he blinked two long times which is Morse code for "m" meaning either "McCain" or "maverick".... or maybe "more Matlock".
Look, let's just not make a big deal about it, okay? Fred would have wanted it that way...

And now the might Thompson political machine will roar into action for McCain, bringing Fred-Thompson-like levels of support across the nation.
It occurs to me - what if Fred has mono, and this endorsement transfers it to McCain?
