Bill Kristol, who thought it would be a great idea to send hundreds of thousands of Americans into Iraq to wage an unprovoked war that has so far resulted in 3963 American deaths and tens of thousands injured , writes:
Republicans tend to think of themselves as the governing party — with some of the arrogance and narrowness that implies, but also with a sense of real-world responsibility. Many Democrats, on the other hand, no longer even try to imagine what action and responsibility are like. They do, however, enjoy the support of many refined people who snigger at the sometimes inept and ungraceful ways of the Republicans.
Said the wingnut welfare legacy hire who has never been right about one fucking thing in his life.
I bet when he looks in the mirror every morning, the mirror throws up.

Shorter William Kristol: We may be narrow, arrogant and inept, but given total control of the government we’ll do the wrong thing until the indolent do-nothing Democrats scare our House delegation into retirement.
I’ll not be satisfied until asswipes like Kristol, Goldberg, Limbaugh, et al, are forced to wear pink jumpsuits with a large WOWW (working on wingnut welfare) logo attached—so that decent folk can avoid them.
Failing that, public flogging might ne nice.
More pie!
To paraphrase Mary McCarthy, every word he writes is wrong, including “a” and “the”.
Is that code for “being caught in same-sex lovin’ while legislating against same”?
There is a mirror in Kristol’s house? Eeewwwwwwww.
I love that picture.
Scott Hortons No Comment at Harpers trashes his Kipling analogy nicely.
WTF the Times was thinking when they hired that hack. He and Goldberg- the perfect argument against nepotism.
Even Shorter Bill Kristol: The longer an opposition party has been out of power, the longer the ruling party should stay.
Even Shorterer Bill Kristol: I’m a fucking idiot; don’t listen to a word I say.
Billy boy is the product, like GW, of a privileged upbringing. He never had to scrape for a job, or even learn how to write a coherent column…
He’s the sad end product of a long line of Royalists and Federalists, who really believe that the general populace is stupid ( I sortof agree concerning the last two presidential elections), unable to govern themselves, and the ruling class of elites should make all the decisions for the good of the people.
His priveleged upbringing doesn’t tend to create real thinkesr…just clueless, opinionated people.
I would love to throw a pie in his smirking face!!!
The most fitting punishment for the chattering class of chickenhawks would be making them spend the rest of their miserable lives caring for those they so enthusiastically advocated sending off to war. Limbaugh, Hannity, O’Reilly, Kristol, Goldberg, Lowry, Podheretz, Coulter, Krauthammer,et.al. should be emptying bed pans and changing bandages at VA hospitals for minimum wage. Instead, they’ll continue to rake in the dollars from wingnut welfare and rightwing think tanks while the damaged men and women who return home from Iraq deal with the frustrations and inadequacies of a system that doesn’t work. It’s nauseating.
I really wish the NYT would allow a comments section; Kristol would be ripped to shreds by the fourth grade Civics class at PS123.
Kristol owns no mirrors, because vampires don’t have reflections.
Ah, yes, all those noble Republicans, William the Bloody chief among them, practically tripping over each other to take responsibility for their actions.
Sometimes inept? Seriously?
Spent billions of dollars and wasted thousands of lives to create a failed state and a haven for terrorists. Yes, we all like to have a good “snigger” about that. Katrina, anyone? Oh, don’t: my sides are hurting.
Remind me again, who’s the Smirker-In-Chief that rears his “inept” head every week on Fox News Sunday?
Bordo: I run an occasional series called “Recommended Soul-Redeeming Career Changes.” The post on Kristol calls for a career switch from smarmy pundit to ocular prosthetician for an eyeless Iraq war vet. The photo of that vet, Mike Jernigan, by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders is stunning and wrenching.
