Sorry to contradict you, but none of the Senators resigned in disgrace. Cranston (80 years old) was formally reprimanded by the ethics committee, however, he finished his term but did not run for re-election in 1992. Riegle, and Deconcini were sharply criticized by the ethics committee, but they also finished their terms, and also declined to run for re-election in 1994 when their terms expired. John Glenn and John McCain were given the lightest of criticism by the ethics committee, and John Glenn went on to run for re-election in 1994 for one more term. McCain was the only Republican involved in the mess; the others were all Dems. Sorry, it’s just a fact.

Just Google “cindy mccain drugs.” The Phoenix local press covered Cindy’s extensive “diversion”–theft–of drugs from the inventory of this medical charity. In addition, she had scripts for Percodan and Vicodin written by doctors in the names of the charity’s employees, without their knowledge or consent. She’s a regular Limbaugh of doctor-shopping!

Thank you, Tbogg, for slagging Cindy for this crime, as she so richly deserves. And keep it up–the MSM has been curiously mute on the subject of Cindy’s, ah, little problem. (She reportedly was using during her three pregnancies and while adopting her youngest, behavior that would get other peoples’ children taken away from them.) I know it’s a tired phrase, but if you or I had felonied up as she did, we’d be sitting in Stripe City without designer shoes.
