I think it would be safe to say that Washington Monthly readers will never be mistaken for the Amy Sullivan Goodtime Gospel Fan Club and Happy Hour.

I think it would be safe to say that Washington Monthly readers will never be mistaken for the Amy Sullivan Goodtime Gospel Fan Club and Happy Hour.
gack. her again.
how many times do WaMo readers need to hear her whine about how the Dems aren’t being nice to religious people ?
She’s an asshole.
Oh come on, no one is that stupid…oh wait, its amy sullivan herself. Yes, she is just that stupid. But I’ll give her this–she was brief. It was a drive by stupid fest, like some yokel hanging his privates out the car window as he zooms by. Ugly, but brief.

My god. I had no idea we’d been outsourced. To black churches no less. I suppose this means that the republicans have been outsourced to stupid frigging zombie morons. I’ll settle for black churches. At least they are made up of human beings.
My guess is that people in Amy’s own church don’t listen to her, so she thinks they’re not “serious” enough about religion (meaning The Gospel According to Amy). It’s times like these I’m especially happy that I’m an atheist.
For my part, antipathy towards Ms. Sullivan and her ilk goes back to having been taught the idea that being a “noisy” Christian is its own reward, but being a “quiet” Christian gets you in good with Him.
Or, to put it another way:
Just remember folks … every time you vote Republican, God kills a kitten …. like this one …

the Democratic party outsourced religion to black churches
Yes, and apparently Republicans have outsourced group slander to phony Democrats like Amy Sullivan, Joe Lieberman, and Kristen Powers. Beats getting your own hands dirty.
By the way, how do I get a job writing exactlyt the same thing over and over again and getting paid for it each time as if I’ve written something new?
This is the holy grail of all writers.
Sorry, aimai, I thought you’d like it.
Oh, hell no. “Outsourcing religion” to African-American churches? And then defending herself by using a secondhand anecdote as data? This former Chicagoan smells Bridgeport Mentality–she doesn’t like the fact that her party’s potential nominee is African-American and will happily vote for McLame in November.
To paraphrase Mark Twain, any magazine that does not publish Amy Sullivan is a better magazine, even if it leaves the pages blank.
Jeez what a waste of space. By the way, not only does Amy Sullivan get faith and Democrats wrong, but she’s also borderline racist to boot with this one. In other words, she’s hit the moron trifecta.
