I wanted to address the post that I deleted below in order to clear up any misconceptions. My little outlet in Firedoglake is mine to do with as I want. Nobody takes my posts down except for me, and this is probably only the second time that I have deletd a post in about six years.

As regards the deleted post, I made a fairly stupid error which made the whole thing as wrong and useless as, say, your average Megan McArdle post. Since I was in a hurry out the door this morning (that old Jonah Goldberg standby excuse, "I don't have time to go into the way that reality both disproves and validates my argument because I'm on my way to give a speech at Clancy's Clown College." ) I didn't have time to 'repurpose' the post, so I figured the best thing to do was to suck it up and blow it out... which is kind of what the post was about in the first place.

Trust me, you didn't miss much, and I should know...
