SINGAPORE – The oil market fluctuated Monday, searching for direction without much in the way of solid news to drive the market higher or lower.
Retail gas prices, meanwhile, fell further from recent records, while diesel prices dipped slightly.

NEW YORK – The average price of a gallon of gas in the United States has risen to a record $3.26, and the cost of diesel fuel has soared to a record $4.06 a gallon, adding to pressure on consumers and the companies that deliver their goods.

$3.26 sounds like a price drop to me, but I live in the SF Bay Area, longtime home to wholly unjustified gas price hikes.
I hereby promise to vote for the first Presidential candidate who promises to reregulate businesses in this country up the wazoo. It’ll never happen, but I’d like to hear someone promise to try, all the same.

I saw the same conflicting headlines and just went with it….prices are going down AND hitting record highs. Of course, I also think that I can eat as much as I want AND lose weight at the same time.
