Better racing games (Motorstorm and Burnout Paradise are great). MLB ‘08 The Show is undoubtedly the best baseball game I’ve ever played. Though I was a little pissed when my created player in Road to the Show mode was traded from the Angels to the Phillies. You think the loyalty I showed to the organization would be rewarded, but like so much human chattel, they shipped me east. Bastards.</p> I finally pulled the trigger on a PS3. The first time it wouldn’t “take” the game into it, the second time it would freeze mid-game and this last time we had the dreaded “disc read error”. </p> <p>I will say, however, that Nintendo Customer Support has been great. The first two times we replaced it through the “rapid replacement” system where they send a new (refurbished) unit to you and you ship the broken one back (no charge) and this last time they recommended that we send it in for repair. They send a Fed Ex label (email) and then repair or replace the unit and send it back, again, no charge. The only downside is that you can’t save your progress on Guitar Hero III so you have to start all over again…</p> <p>We’ve had hours of enjoyment with the thing, and family bowling tournaments are a semi-regular event in the house.</p> Not to be a downer or anything, but we’ve replaced our Wii 3 times since last June.
