Speaking at The Associated Press annual meeting in Washington today, McCain said economists may have a technical definition of a recession, but from his perspective the important factor is "that Americans are hurting."
He also said Barack Obama‘s comments that some small-town voters are bitter over their economic situation were "elitist." He said those are the same people whose children are overseas defending the nation.
Left unmentioned: right now the only company with a "help wanted" sign out front is the Pentagon. So, no duh…

Yes, yes…….. heaven forfend that we have Elites running for president.
The worst thing one can honestly say about Obama’s “bitter” comment was that it was inartful, and could have been improved with somewhat different phrasing.
If this disqualifies someone from being president, someone needs to invent a time machine, pronto.
So a guy who went to a rich-boy boarding school, got into the Naval Academy thanks to family connections, married a millionaire after dumping his first wife, and who owns eight houses, is calling someone else an “elitist’ … ?
Really?
I guess I looked at the essence of what he was saying, so it took hillary and Mac to wake me up to what an awful black man that Obama is.
This is rich: two candidates who’ve had their snouts buried in the public trough for most of their lives, both of whom have access to over a hundred million dollars, are accusing Obama of being an elitist.
It isn’t elitist if it’s true. End of discussion.
What is wrong with these idiots??
the son and grandson of Admirals is not an elitist, dammit!! Admirals hang with the enlisted ranks all of the time!!!
