Not as late as me however.

Amish random 10

1 Marvin Gaye “You’re The Man Parts I & II”
2 The Church “Buffalo”
3 XTC “Living Through Another Cuba”
4 Sarah McLachlan “The Path Of Thorns”
5 Magazine “A Song From Under The Floorboards”
6 Lenny Bruce “The Tribunal”
7 Siouxsie & The Banshees “Showtime”
8 American Music Club “Laughing Stock”
9 The Blue Aeroplanes “Spitting Out Miracles”
10 Skinny Puppy “Love”
11 Charlie Parker/Dizzie Gillespie “Leap Frog”
12 Monty Python “Castle Aaargh/The End”
13 Big Head Todd & The Monsters “Bittersweet”
14 Talking Heads “I Wish You Wouldn’t Say That”
15 Airiel “You Kids Should Know Better”

Yeah TBogg, late 80s early 90s Britpop has its staying power. Some very original and influential (and still unknown) bands came from that era: Lush, Kitchens of Distinction, The Blue Aeroplanes, Happy Mondays, New Fast Automatic Daffodils, Inspiral Carpets, Ride, Its Immaterial, The Wendys, The Wonder Stuff. I’ll put them up against todays alt favs any day. Plus, that era has the extra bonus of being on the tail end of vinyl 1.0 and the beginning of the digital era. Lots of 7″ and 12″ rarities and collectibles out there.

Television is guitar solos for people who hate guitar solos. And I mean that as a tremendous compliment, in case it wasn’t obvious.

Great, indeed. I’ve always thought that side of Waiting for Columbus ranks among the top two or three sets of live performances ever pressed to vinyl.
