There sure is a lot of “mile-wide-inch-deep” thinking among those selected. Not to worry, they’re going to all wind up married (except for Mememegan), living in the suburbs and driving the brats to soccer practice and Hitlerjugend meetings.

Clif’s already said it, but it’s worth repeating - when Megan McArdle is the voice of reason in your cohort, you’re really scrapping the proverbial barrel.

And it’s not even close.

Why is it so hard for these women to understand that ideology does not make the man (or woman)?

My favorite low-light is the woman who insists that she knows a guy is liberal before he ever opens his mouth because he always has fingernails which are longer and more manicured than hers and a ponytail.

WTF?! And there are people who take these people seriously?

DAMMIT! One of those loser chicks has the temerity to also have the same first name as me! It’s the one giving you the come hither look, but with the strangely Tagg-like eyes.

Their worst dates don’t remind me of any dating experience I recall having (back in the dark ages before I got married); perhaps I was screening my potential dates better than this brood did/does? That kind of poor reality testing explains (1) their worst date stories, and (2) the reason why conservatives were able to convince themselves that attacking Iraq would be a simply grand exercise in creative destruction.

My favorite is that Moxie person’s comment saying, “So much for the ‘open-minded liberal’ myth.” Because liberal men tend not to like her (somehow I think anyone who doesn’t like her is automatically a liberal). You see if your mind isn’t so open that it accepts closed minds, your a great big stinkin’ hypocrite. It’s like the whole fundamentalist Xtian thing where you are persecuting them by refusing to allow them to persecute others.

I took aimai’s suggestion to go over and read the actual comments. Pretty goofy, but I think the stupidest thing is one of the questions the interviewer posed:

“What do you think the biggest thing women have wrong about men is?”

Uh, apart from the weird syntax, shouldn’t you be asking the guys that?
