Protesters turn out in droves to greet evil uppity black negro colored man Jeremiah Wright at the National Press Club.
“…and I think that Sammy Davis was the finest entertainer of his generation. Please don’t kill me after the protest.”
It rained the whole time the Free Republic was outside the National Press Club which probably dampened participation as well. But five stalwarts showed up
Yeah. They had that same problem at Woodstock.
Afterwards the droves of protesters went to a local Dennys where they were seated in a corner booth and still had room to stack their signs on the extra chair. Moon Over My Hammy’s were then served.

five stalwarts
Are they including the signs?
I can’t stop laughing. About everything but esp. the photo caption. Genius.
five?
another case of the MSM overestimating wingnut numbers.
I’m of two minds. One I really appreciated Wright as a man and minister after watching him on Bill Moyers. Two, I really don’t appreciate the anchor he has become for Obama while on his protracted book tour. It’s the guy under the bus getting revenge I suppose.
From back of the bus to under the bus. Progress is a sometime thing.
Freepers can certainly move generations, nay, whole worlds! A universe even!
“Don’t take the brown acid” takes on a whole new meaning after this.
8 years ago, I might have felt some sympaty for these losers.
Meh. Probably not.
Let’s take this one at a time.
U.S.A. is not the enemy
Correct! The enemy is the criminal gang that has usurped the U.S. Constitution and committed the blood and treasure of our country in an illegal and immoral war-for-profit.
Wright is wrong
Wright made the same mistake as above — confusing “America” with the criminal gang that has run this country’s foreign policy for the better part of 60 years — the Harriman/Walker/Bush Crime Family.
God bless America
May the Goddess bless America indeed — and deliver us more and better Democrats this November.
There is no fixin’ stupid.
I do windmills, too…
Place your bets, folks. Who will be the first wingnut to complain that there really were more people at the event. “The camera angels were all wrong. But there were lots & lots of multitudes of protesters! Really!”
I’m giving short odds to our favorite spazzy anchor-baby cheerleader, & the box-wine swilling American Idol addict.
Hmmm…
Oddly, or perhaps not so oddly, the phrase “motherfucking retarded neocon douchebags” immediately flew to mind. Unaccountable. Cue KT Tunstall, Suddenly I See
How many Porta-potties? I’m betting they had close to a 1:1 ratio.
The freepers have such a GREAT sense of humor. “Wright is Wrong.” See, it’s a play on words-Wright and Wrong both start with “W.” But he’s also saying that Wright’s sermons are wrong. Cleverrr!
Sheesh.
Dude, all this hand-wringing over “the damage Wright is doing to Obama’s campaign” is a crock.
Wright and Sharpton are giving Obama an opportunity for good old fashioned Clinton-style triangulation — his “Sista Souljah” moment, if you will.
Come November no one is gonna care about this shit, much change their vote because of it.
If a man of God(-dess) costs Obama the election by simply acting like a man of God(-dess), then we richly deserve whatever we get in November.
You know, I hear that Moon Over My Hammys is excellent when served with a side of stupid and washed down with a big ol’ glass of failure.
“I’ve got my sign. You have yours? OK. Let’s get out there and try to look like more people.” Unfortunately, two’s company, but you need at least three to be a crowd.
Yes, Wright’s actions on his book tour seem to make it easier for Obama to dismiss him and have done with this (hopefully).
OT-I received a free Townhall mag today. I’ve sanitized my mailbox and am trying to figure what knuckleheads I gave my address to, to deserve it.
By this we can clearly see that America is truly a conservative country. Not. For all the good reverend’s possible excesses, his ultimate sin in the eyes of the press and the conservatives is that he draws attention to the issue of race and our great unfinished business there.
“Moons Over My Hammy®”
I had to look it up.
Yes, it is real.
Gaaaaaaaaaaa
I made better posters than that when I was in 7th grade.
On the bright side, I’m glad Armando Benitez and Tom Poston are making themselves useful.
five stalwarts
Well, four plus a black guy who just lost his job and was willing to get in the picture with us if we paid him.
