Although, some of us were actually plenty cynical about the media already before 9/11; yes, Ian, it’s true: contrary to what it says on your well-worn copy of the Lazy Reporters 10 Commandments, 9/11 didn’t change everything for everybody.

While you lust after Chelsea to reveal everything, Ian, the rest of us will continue to wish for journalists who inform, report, and analyze.

Who on earth calls themselves “twentysomethings”? I’d expect to hear a high school kid say that so everyone would think they were so cool being one of the big kids and all, and maybe hoping to score a beer, but I’ve never heard an adult refer to himself that way.

We’re talking about adults like, oh, let’s say Chelsea Clinton, who probably gets her news from, like, reading and listening to people who know things and all that other borrrrrrrrring stuff that rilly rilly hip twentysomethings would never ever do because it’s just so, like, yesterday. Hell, she probably even talks to people who are like, old enough to be her parents. Ick.

The Washington Post pays this idiot. To write about education. And people in their twenties and thirties. What a bang-up job he’s doing. He sure nailed that Chelsea Clinton, didn’t he? I sure hope it doesn’t hurt her feelings that the excellent Ian Shapira doesn’t think she’s cool enough for him and his crowd.
