I concur with my learned friend from the City by the Bay. Let the R’s try and reset the committee memberships and get some more of their disastrous agenda back in the public eye. It can only help provide the Dems with a larger majority in 2009.

I don’t for a minute think that Unholy Joe will get booted from his leadership position even with a veto-proof Dem majority in place. He’ll make some mealy-mouthed statements sucking up to Harry (or whomever takes his leadership role), and “collegiality*” will be the currency of the realm.

The Democratic party failed to go into a full court press for Ned Lamont even though they knew just what kind of a jerk they had in Lieberman . They bear the responsibility for Lieberman’s continued presence. Harry Reid made him chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs committee and appointed him to the Armed Services, Environment/Public Works, and Small Business Committees - all of which go to prove that Harry Reid is the leading asshole in the Senate. The Dems need to man up and strip the execrable little piece of shit Lieberman of every vestige of authority. They also need to elect a Majority Leader who will lead like a Democrat.
