Last time I checked, there was a difference between money and political spouses–although I see where it might be easy to conflate the two in Cindy McCain’s case. Put another way, if Wingnuts attacking Teresa Heinze Kerry for not releasing records of the Heinze family trusts is kosher, then Cindy McCain should expect the same treatment.

Okay, Jake, here is how it is.

Yes, Cindy McCain will be and has been subject to critism from the Democrats. It is not nice, but John McSame has the same privilege that Obama had. John can defend his wife and tell the Democats to ”lay off his wife, but he hasn’t. She was slimed big time in the 2000 race by his own party, the republicans.

He didn’t complain then and most likely, he won’t this time. Obama is a gentleman and it used to be gentlemanly to at least protest when your wife had lies told about her.
