Of 12 middle aged Jews ranging from Conservative to Extremely Reform, all but 1 was voting Democratic (mostly for Obama), and one that was planning on voting for McCain. The fact that a lot of them have sons entering prime draft age may have had something to do with it, but the one with the most to lose on that score is the McCain supporter, so go figure. </p> <p>The most interesting thing about this informal survey is about 1/3 of those planning to vote Democratic were originally Bush supporters due to AIPAC-type manipulations directed at their religious identity.
