K-Lo who mistakes being "human" for being "civil":
Can We Just All Be Human One Saturday Morning? [Kathryn Jean Lopez]
AP memorializes Tony Snow thus:
With a quick-from-the-lip repartee, broadcaster’s good looks and a relentlessly bright outlook — if not always a command of the facts — he became a popular figure around the country to the delight of his White House bosses.
Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but part of why Tony was such a force was because he really shook up the press office in terms of getting facts to the American people. Americans didn’t know about successes on the ground in Iraq and they ought to, was Snow’s attitude. At the time, it seemed new thinking.
So the AP gets points this morning in the nasty, unnecessary, and off categories.
The genius of hiring Tony Snow, not to be confused with the genius of Tony Snow, was that, by virtue of being part of the media in-crowd, Snow received even more of a free ride than has been given to the other hacks and flacks who preceded him and followed him. Call it Villager Professional Courtesy. In light of that, he may very well go down as having been the only smart hire of the Bush era.
It’s not much, but it’s something.

Can you think of anything, just one single thing, that K-Lo has actually been right about?
In accordance with the teachings of my parents, I have exactly the following to say about the late Tony Snow:
So, last saturday morning she has Bush as a high school teacher. This saturday, it’s Tony Snow as a truth teller of some sort. Maybe she should sleep in a bit later.
Wonder if K-Lo has ever snowballed.
Perhaps someone needs to gently explain to K-Lo what “facts” are.
All respect to Mr. Snow (and yes, I made the sign of cross and said a little prayer for him when I heard the news), but I maintain my opinion that Ari Fleischer was the greatest press secretary of the Bush era.
That man lied like John Barrymore played Hamlet.
God help us if his bullshit artistry sees an equal.
What an amazing resume: FOX news and the clown prince. It is difficult to think of how to approach a PR job when representing loathsome entities that expect you to lie artfully to people that know you will be lying.
I earned 47 points in the dead pool today
Isn’t it ironic that “the successes on the ground in Iraq” were of the same genre as “the successes” of Tony Snow’s cancer?
To do that, she’d need to have access to semen. Which means she’d either have to get it from a fertility clinic, or else by fellating an animal (or Jonah Goldberg). So my guess is the answer would be “no”, since I don’t think Jonah could even score with K-Lo.
Now I need to go throw up.
Blueberry Muffins are tasty.
She was right about that one.
Bring out your dead!
Srsly, the first I heard of Tony Snow’s death. Also, the first time I’ve ever believed that ignorance can be bliss.
