In an effort to explain why SusanUnPC at Hillary or Mass Cult Suicide doesn’t understand the concept of snark, I present an UnPC and misogynistic joke from the sixties:
Q: Why don’t they let women fight in wars?
A: Because they don’t know when to quit.
Or, to put it another way:
If I can’t laugh, I don’t want to be part of your revolution.
Or, what I said here.

It’s still not clear to me what the glue sniffers over at Larry’s really want: are they looking for a do-over of the primaries? Do they want Hillary to be given the nomination in Denver because she’s teh shizzle and Obama’s just not their cup of tea? Hillary lost the primaries, they’ve clearly lost their marbles — and now it would appear that Susan and the rest of the humpers of the month-old corpse that is the “Hillary4Evah” campaign have lost their sense of humor, too. So sad.
Jeezus Keeryst.
First I finish my usual lazy Sunday morning coffee and log on to see that some fucking “youth pastor” in the city of my birth is trying to lure those with hormones-for-brains to come to Jesus by offering an AK-47. Perhaps now my friends will understand why I haven’t been back to Okie City for nearly 60 years. There’s a chance that pastor, or at least one of those kids, is a relative of mine.
Then, over at Kevin Drum’s place, I get to read about some fucking sexual deviants who thought it would be fine and dandy to strip search a 13-year-old girl (an honor student) because they heard a rumor that some kids had ibuprophen and might be planning on taking some of said drug later in the day. The appeals court ruled that said strip-searches are a no-no (but the ruling was 6-5 so that’s another creepy thing to think about) but no one has yet filed sex crime charges against the school employees who got off humiliating a little girl and getting to peek inside her underwear.
Now I’ve done a couple of chores and come back to see that Rush Limbaugh is probably going to win the next election because the ditto-heads are too stupid to shut up about their candidate not winning the primary and, By God, they’re going to take down anyone who won’t get with the “ladies first” program.
I’m an old woman. I can’t take this kind of insanity in such large doses today. I’m going to close my browser now and go read a book I was enjoying until I logged on to check e-mail. Reading about the hit man who’s being set up will be more pleasant than the news.
I went to the county democratic party meeting, mapping out strategy through the convention. The co-chairs of Clinton from this area rejoined after a period of mourning. When asked how the effort to bring alienated clintonista back to the fold, he actually started on how tough it is since she did win the popular vote and the DNC conspired to shaft her on Michigan and Fla. If this is the attitude of supposed veteran pols I’m not surprised by the loons at Johnson’s site.
The only thing I wonder is which one of us was in a parallel universe where Clinton and company were the righteous set upon. Because the election I was involved in, HRC played very rough, got and gave but lost in the end.
From what I read today, there is an organization of some type here in Denver dedicated to the idea that the superdelegates still might vote Hillary into the nominee position at the convention. Do not ask me why they think this.
Tbogg, the Mumia T Shirt post is one of your finest evah, and I’ve linked to it numerous times these last few weeks. As much as I love our farther-left brothers and sisters, their disappointment in and venom for Obama is just puzzling. Seems like nothing short of BO donning a Code Pink t-shirt and hoisting a clenched fist will mollify them.
The problem with the NQ no-brainers isn’t that they’re farther left. Quite the opposite, Hillary represented – even though she tried to shy away from it – the (hopefully) last gasp of the DLC, an organization that took the party much further to the right than it ever should have tread.
(I forget who said it, but it’s true: Bill Clinton was a great Republican president.)
I gravitated to Obama after Edwards became nonviable, but never bought into the cult, and wasn’t terribly surprised by his FISA vote. All this “move to the center” talk is coming from people who weren’t paying attention beyond the morning’s headlines.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, a more serious matter has arisen – my dog needs to go outside and pee.
It may be worse than the “there’s no difference between the parties” Nader cultists. These people are furious with the world and blame Obama for every Chris Matthews-like knucklehead statement and they have no sense of humor at all. First off – they think the joke is a huge affront to women. I’m a woman – maybe I’m missing something. It seemed like a slightly tarted up Bob Hope joke. Not that that funny, but nothing to get upset about, either.
And not only are they humorless, they’re the most gullible people on the planet outside of real Bushites. Jesus, make it stop.
I’ve tried listening, patiently, to every complaint from these types of people . They come down to earth for a bit – maybe – and then they’re off again. So, I know it won’t help but “Go the hell up” seems apporpriate.
It’s a disagreement, you are going to lose, go have a beer.
Q: Why did they name the website “noquarterusa.net”?
A: Because “mad-cow.org” was already taken.
Larry the J at NQ was initially notable because of his strenuous defense of Valerie Plame-Wilson, his spookclass-mate. I recall much heated and indignant prose over the Bushites having outed her, and yet now that Hil has lost the nomination they want to turn the country over to the living (though barely) embodiment of Bush III (McSame). If anyone can find where the logic is in all this, I’d love to hear/see it.
I credit that to Al Franken. His book about the lying liars.
