While sharing letters to Tiger Beat with Karl Rove isn’t exactly a something that most people would list on their resume, I see no reason why Ron Fournier can’t do for AP’s Washington Bureau what he did for HOTSOUP.com.
Who could ever forget this?
Dear HOTSOUP Colleague,
Thanks for joining.
We’re off to a fast start. Thousands of people like you, including a few dozen political, business and pop culture leaders, have signed up for our issues-based community that launches in October.
Today begins a series of announcements about some of those Opinion Drivers who are “In the Soup.”
We’re proud to announce that Senator John McCain, seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong, Applebee’s International Chairman & CEO Lloyd Hill, Leadership Network founder Bob Buford, and stay-at-home mother/political activist Mary Shull are the first group being featured in a HOTSOUP.com news release today.
Each of these Opinion Drivers responded to the question, “ Why are people hungry for an issues-based community of Opinion Drivers like HOTSOUP.com?” You can see their responses in full, along with the press release, at www.HOTSOUP.com.You’ll also notice a new poll. We can’t get enough of your opinions.
Please invite your friends, family and co-workers to join us “In the Soup,’’ and stay tuned for more news.
Best,
Ron Fournier
To be fair, HOTSOUP.com did last longer than the average Josh Trevino blog, but then so do mayflies…

So mccain lied about not knowing how to use a computer? Or did he dictate his piece to a scribe who used a quill pen, attached it to the leg of a pigeon, sent it to ron fournier who then typed it into a laptop?
aimai
Fournier is rumored to have been a client Jeff Gannon/Guckert. Now we know Ron and Rove had a “special” friendship. Gannon/Guckert’s frequent overnight stays at the White House while Rove worked there, which have been confirmed by other WH reporters, still have never been explained by the Secret Service or anyone else.
Three peas in a pod, so to speak?
Oh, gawd-between your comment and Attaturk’s post at the Lake, I’m already over my daily sex and violence quota.
Let me see if I got the crux of that mess of a promo video:
Hotsoup will redefine the media because we now know how many songs are on Mary Matalin’s ipod and Dick Armey can’t remember who works for him.
I so confused. I think I’ll touch base with the people at No Quarter to explain this to me since they have such a keen understanding of the inter-tubes.
“HOTSOUP”? What is this, 1998?
“”The Lord creates
men and womennimrods likethisRon Fournier all over the world. But only thegreat and free countriesAmerican mainstream news media allow them to flourish. Keep up thefightstoopid.”… Josh Trevino blog …
Trying drum up comments, Tbogg? You know with the mere mention of his name, he’ll be here posting long screeds about the devilry of the left.
Trevino… oy. a tool for the ages.
Why wasn’t he fired within the hour of this tidbit becoming public? And how stupid is Fournier, in light of Roves history of being a source? Wouldn’t a journalist look at a source like Rove as one who was only delivering a message not useful information.
Speaking of nuts, for anyone coming to Austin this week for Netroots Nation, be on the lookout for none other than Michele Malkin and Robert Novak!
They’ll both be gracing our fair city with their presence, at the “Defending the American Dream” conference. Gosh, I sure hope the air conditioner at their hotel doesn’t become overrun with fire ants or anything–they might melt!

Ya know what George Carlin said about the American Dream…”They call it a Dream because you have to be asleep to believe it.”
