Rick:
No one would have thought it possible a few months ago when Obama was raking in $40 million a month. But all signs from the Obama campaign point to a significant slowdown in fundraising both on the web and from "bundlers."
Consider some previous months totals for Obama: a high of $54.1 million in February to $40.2 million in March, to $30.1 million in April. And this was at the heighth of the primary campaign.
But in May, Obama was barely able to top McCain's total of $20.9 million with $21.1 million. And in June, McCain has announced a fundraising total of $22 million while we have yet to hear from the messiah as yet.
Is it possible that McCain will outraise Obama for June?
Very possible
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama raised $52 million in June, his campaign said on Thursday, a jump from last month and more than double the $22 million raised by his Republican rival John McCain.

Does this mean Obama is the messiah?
Rick sounds a lot like Bubble Boy Kristol: supremely sure of himself, woefully wrong on everything else. The tell tale phrase “Is it possible…” (aka “I’m pulling this shit out of my ass, but that’s how my readers seem to like it…”) takes us straight to Althouse/Noonan territory: “should we speculate?”. Go ahead, make your day. The rest of? We prefer facts, thank you very much.
And while the Republicans can speculate all they want that they might win this election fair and square it’s becoming painfully obvious to anyone who doesn’t receive a regular paycheck from Pox News or Regnery Publishing that it’s *so* na ga na hap pen without Rovian dirty tricks or some executive order outlawing the Democratic Party (and, shit, that might actually just happen…)
The Moran now has a new post up about Obama pulling in $52 million in June, but is not dismayed. He now asks, “Is it enough?” He goes on to note that: “Surprisingly both candidates are almost equal in cash on hand at the end of June; McCain with nearly $100 in cash while Obama has $92 million.” Now, where I come from, $92 million is more than $100, but that’s just me. (Yeah, yeah, I know it was a typo — he’s a maroon nonetheless.)
I swear, sometimes I think we just can’t please these guys.
I thought St. McSame was using public financing. Why is he fundraising at all?
He’s honoring the age-old GOP tradition of double dipping. Like tax cuts for the rich + endless war spending; bailing out Wall Street but cutting Veteran’s benefits…
It’s like having your cake and eating it, too. Or, more correctly: having someone else’s cake and eating it, then scolding them for having no cake (”lazy whiny bugger, if you really wanted some cake, you’d bake some — which i’d then be entitled to take away…”) and telling them that all their future cake now belongs to you.
OTT, but this is a must-read as Glenn just eviscerates Little Tommy Friedman.

Wow, those must have been some mushrooms, Rick…
Often in error, never in doubt
Homer: There’s three ways to do things: the right way, the wrong way, and the Max Power way?
Bart: Isn’t that the wrong way?
Homer: Yeah, but faster!
ick. “…Max Power way!”
Reality and the Morans do not occupy the same universe.
This is good news for John Mc

No matter the set of facts, even if they are 180 degrees opposite to the prior accepted set of facts, it is always good news for republicans.
In the world of science, this is called making the facts conform to fit the preconceived hypothesis. However, the more common name for this is “cheating”, or the more vulgar descriptive of “lying like a hypocritical shitweasel”.
WSJ hit themselves in the face with an axe. They had inside stuff that he wouldn’t break 30 mil. Either somebody tossed them on the freeway or they are creatin the news ala Fox.
that photo is classic.
Whenever I read shit like that I make another $50 donation to Obama. The average donation was $68. We keep giving a little more each month and it drives them crazy. Literally. I’m nowhere near the $2,300.
And this was at the heighth of the primary campaign.
Nithwhith.
And of course, like the AP story he ripped off the spin from, McCain’s total suddenly includes the RNC’s, while Obama’s now includes the DNC’s. And even still, considering that last month the DNC had $4.5 million on hand and now has upwards of $45 million or so, one might note that the Dean and Obama raised a staggering amount last month.
Which is good news for Giuliani.
Can’t those folks learn to spell “maroon”?
That guy with the “Get a Brain! Morans” sign? I think he live down the street from me.
