More from Holy Joe on MTP wherein Joe assures us that he has more than a passing familiarity with McCain’s package and that John’s mind has all of the snap of a buggy whip:
MR. BROKAW: All right. We want to move on if we can. Among other things, Senator McCain has been very adamant about never raising taxes under any circumstances. That prompted this headline in the op-ed page of The Wall Street Journal from the commentator Daniel Henninger. He said, "Is John McCain stupid? Is John McCain losing it? He said on national television that to solve Social Security `everything’s on the table,’ which of course means raising payroll taxes. On July 7 … he said: `Senator Obama will raise your taxes. I won’t.’" Daniel Henninger concludes, "This isn’t a flip-flop. It’s a sex-change operation."
SEN. LIEBERMAN: First, let me say that John remains all male. There’s no question about that. Secondly, he, he’s, he’s as smart, curious and intellectually alert as possible. That’s why he loves these town hall meetings….
As we shall see, courtesy of The Jed Report.
You can almost see the little hourglass in McCain’s head flipping over and over as he tries to figure out why Obama has a "race car."

There are lots of things I don’t want to picture in my mind’s eye, and McLame’s shriveled cocktail weenie is in the top 3. Just sayin’.
Seriously, is it TOO much to ask that we entrust the fate of the free world to someone who can remember why he’s there in the first place? Just as a chance of pace for a while?
The spinning hourglass is passé. As a Mac user, you should now refer to The Spinning Beach Ball of Death.
Yay for the Dim Angry Old Man! He’s doing the best he can! Yay for him!
Jesus, whatta fucking douche nozzle. Murderous old freak.
Charlie Crist thought that woman was weird, too. She asked a weird question. Its Panama City. Where did that strange woman come from? New York? /s
Now there’s a ready-made campaign ad for Obama. Cripes.
Is it too fucking much to ask that these must-see videos include captioning for the hearing impaired? I am missing too much. And, besides, how am I supposed to watch them at work?
Okay, got that off my chest.
This might well be McCain’s Waterloo. Also in Panama City, did you see the huge turnout (in the hundreds)at the concert for McCain? He spoke for maybe 4 minutes. But, what I found interesting was his mentioning Cindy as 1st Lady. Hey, isn’t that a bit presumptuous of the McCain campaign?
But this is really bad. He’s totally clueless. His record is catching up with him and there’s nothing he can say or do about it. As much as they try to sanitize his appearances, when only the opposition shows up, you have to answer the questions…or not. The slomo meltdown continues.
Why the fuck are you complaining to T-Bogg about this? Here’s a clue (I assume you can read OK) – Go to the McCain website and ask for the video with hearing impaired subtitles. Christ on a Cheeto, why are you complaining about your problem here? I suspect that your real complaint is people actually seeing McCain in his natural state.
hahaha..you’re at work, goofing off, and want T-Bogg to cater to your handicap? Here’s an idea…ask your employer to provide close captioning so you can waste his time efficiently. Whatta maroon.
I’ve been informed on good authority that this is a pretty freewheeling place, IB. Solai’s comment was a) showing interest b) noncombative, ie: getting it off her chest.
OTOH: Your comment was rude and censorious. Over the top. What did she do that was worse than you? Lighten up, fergoshsakes. Weren’t the primaries bad enough? Let’s not tear each other apart–especially when McC is providing such great fodder for fun. K?
It wasn’t an hourglass. He was watching an animated paperclip saying “It appears you are trying to answer a question…”
TBogg, when you said “As we shall see…” I thought that was in reference to the “John McCain remains all male” part of the preceding paragraph, and this was a video of McCain whipping it out (Why else would you need three camera angles?).
Check out the third camera angle close-up of McCain and look how much he is blinking (try to match him blink for blink – it’s exhausting). I believe this can be a sign of early Alzheimer’s Dementia or Parkinson’s Disease. It would be irresponsible of us not to speculate about his mental state, whether it has been damaged by Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, his cancer treatment or possibly a metastatic lesion of the melanoma to his brain. Perhaps that is what is causing his anger problems as well.
Here Audrey, for the reading impaired, lets recap what solai said (in a non-combative way)-
“Is it too fucking much to ask that these must-see videos include captioning for the hearing impaired? I am missing too much. And, besides, how am I supposed to watch them at work?”
Now Audrey, I’m sure you are a smart person who has been on the innertubes for awhile. But you’ve obviously don’t know excellent trolling when you see it. I hope I don’t need to draw diagrams for you. Please don’t pull the Kumbaya crap on me. Thanks. IB
This blinking might be morse code…something he probably used to defeat his NV captors. If I read it properly, I think he’s saying. “oh shit, I’m fucked.”
Capt., the Mac people I know refer to that as the Spinning Pizza of Death, or SPOD. Yeah, it does look more like a beach ball than a pizza (spinning or not) but that’s what they tell me.
And I bet McCain *was* thinking, “Race car? Huh?” His (alleged) position on MLK Day is an awful lot like Mittens’ and his “My dad marched with MLK and can kick your dad’s ass” thing from a few months ago.
Senile George Bush. Nuff said.
It would be irresponsible of us not to speculate about his mental state, whether it has been damaged by Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, his cancer treatment or possibly a metastatic lesion of the melanoma to his brain. Perhaps that is what is causing his anger problems as well.
Yeah, but he, he’s, he’s as smart, curious and intellectually alert as possible.
As possible?…As possible for what?
John McCain, like George Bush only older and angrier.

Ahh… that explains why he’s having such a tough time learning how to use a computer! He’s got Windows ME with Office 2000!
It would be an act of cruelty to elect this man to the highest pressure job in the country (maybe the world, but country is enough for the purpose of this comment).
He doesn’t have the acumen to stick with his own campaign’s talking points. He has no clue about the culture and history of the middle east and how it is affecting/will affect our strategic outlook with regard to both Iraq and our dependency on oil. He can’t spontaneously respond to a question from the political opposition…
He might WANT to take it all on, but the reality is that he simply is not up to it. Electing McCain to the presidency would be asking – no, demanding — that he fail. And fail big time. That is too cruel to contemplate.
It would be an act of compassion to elect Obama as president. Both for the public as well as McCain.
That’s my take. First thing that came to mine was micro-stroke. I am not a doctor, but while it could be a number of things, medical “event” tops the list. I don’t see a guy that lost concentration, that was a total neurological time-out. I would love to see the analysis of a doctor on this tape.
Jeebus, we don’t need another C- (894th out of 899) student in the White House. And a senile one at that.
Smiling dog is correct about suspecting some neurological deficit. I dealt with a rageaholic on a HOA board years ago; when things didn’t go his way or we didn’t agree with him, the blinking went into overdrive and the anger got totally out of proportion to the situation. Three months after he was voted off the board, the early onset alzheimers diagnosis came down. McSame behaves exactly like this guy did; same phase in the diagnosis, same ability to hold it together as long as there are no challenges or off the script questions to deal with.
First, I absolutely do recognize trolling and I also know an intended insult when I see it. For the reading impaired? I beg to differ. You are the one with a problem and you are out of line.
Second, Solai is no troll. She’s been here a lot longer than you. Calling her that and other things as you have done is quite trollish, IMO.
I come to TBogg for a respite from this kind of trash and a bit of a laugh. Thanks.
I thought that solai was referring to all the silences in the video and thought that s/he was missing something. Asking for the subtext, I guess.
Methinks you need your troll detector adjusted. I cannot see how grousing about a lack of captioning on YouTube videos possibly falls under the heading of “trolling” — in fact, I’d say your response comes a lot closer. Here’s a tip for you from someone who works in IT — one of the biggest drains on an organization’s bandwidth usually comes from all the people watching streaming media during their workday, when that sort of content hasn’t been blocked, so solai’s not exactly a freak of nature for watching from work. And as someone who’s hearing isn’t what it used to be, I can tell you that it’s nice to have a transcript or something when people mumble or the sound quality is only so-so, rather than crank the volume on your PC so that everyone in your office knows what you’re watching.
