See, you northern folk have an advantage we don’t have: a reasonably non-brain-dead press. </p> <p>The tar sands hype down here is kind of like how The Doughy Pantload explained(on NPR no less) away any need to respond to global warming with his theory that humans have always adapted to change by such things as picking up and moving. Plus I doubt they plan on selling the output to us at under market, rather than just doing what every other oil producer (including the US) does: selling it on the global market at the going rate.
