You are very welcome:) I bought it for my hubby last Christmas…he was a Marine for a long time but don’t get between him and his basset.I thought you might appreciate it right now. Bassets are “special” and so are their “food slaves”….
Thats a great book. Well, it was until my Dachshund decided to eat it. I think he was jealous. There is another maggie book out there too, and its equally good.
Dear Boggs’,
My most sincere sympathy. Satchmo’s beautiful soulful eyes said everything about him.
I was on vacation the past week and a half and away from a computer but I kept wondering how Satchmo was. And I had this bad feeling…
I’m so very sorry about the news. But I hear Dog Heaven is great – and a lot like the TBogg abode, I bet.
And the book looked so great I decided to order one.
Again, so sorry about the sweet old boy.
I really felt your loss with Satchmo, having gone through the same thing with two Bassets that I did everything I could to save, and the two I now have are incredible sources of joy but I miss them profoundly every part of every day.
I’m in the same position as Pete Pierce. Each dog is unique. I love my 2 current Bassets, but the new ones don’t replace the previous ones, who I still miss every day. (And when the current 2 go I’ll feel just the same about them…and their successors.) I too have The Tao of Maggie, and I now have a Basset named Maggie as well! It’s a great book.
