(I had no idea Bassets carried that much weight on their sturdy legs!)</p> <p>We’re missing Dog #1 terribly. He ate a sock which lodged at his duodenum and had emergency surgery last night. All is well, and I’m picking up the old boy this morning so he can spend a day recovering with his regular vet. Dog #2, ordinarily the happiest Lab ever, is morose. She didn’t even sleep with me last night. When I got up this morning I found her on the stairs at the front door, waiting for him I guess. Poor girl.</p> Beautiful, thank you.
