That’s by far my favorite Far Side cartoon. Our dryer has a “CAT FUD” sign taped to it, has had for years. And it’s the prefect image for this story. Me, I’m not an especially religious woman, but I’ve been praying to every god I can think of to make this one happen.

McCain’s age and health make his not finishing even one term a very real possibility. How would the red-meat conservatives and the fundies feel about a potential President Lieberman? And how would they feel about Israel as the 51st state?

It’s awfully tempting for the McCain camp to revisit the possibility of tapping Meg Whitman, the former eBay C.E.O., Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, or Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska.

Sorry to burst the bubble, but Bloody Bill is being used (yet again!) by the RNC. Grampy MsSame already has his veep chosen. He knows that if his choice is announced now, the majority of the republicans will say, “Who? What a fucking douchebag!” So out comes Bloody Bill naming really, really, super-exponential bad candidates. When Grampy finally makes his choice known, the response will be, “Well.
