I would give up a year of previous posts to be able to say that I wrote this for Wonkette, describing Joe Lieberman:
And Wonkette, the Washington gossip blog, turned the hatred of the senator into something like a literary extreme sport: “It’s like two quarter-pound stools of alien space shit crashed into a toxic-waste dumpster in Stamford, Connecticut, fucked, and out came their mutilated, blood-soaked carcass of a baby rat-child, Senator Joseph Lieberman.”
That just fucking rocks.

I think that Wonkette should stop holding back and tell us how they really feel.
Joe gives alien feces offspring a bad name.
It’s funny because it’s true.
Duh. Didn’t read the head.
Glad Wonkette is on our side.
“Nothing in Joe Lieberman’s long and placid career—a respected attorney general in Connecticut, a centrist Democrat on the Senate floor, Al Gore’s high-minded running mate—could have presaged his current status…“
This is the peculiar thing. Either someone has some catastrophic dirt on this guy and he sold his soul rather than have it come out in the open or he’s always been a superficial shit. A person with integrity doesn’t wake up one morning transformed into a person who has none. I’m betting he’s always been slimy shit.
And they say subtlety is dead?
1)”Resected Attorney General” – possibly true;
2)”Centrist Democrat on the Senate floor” – bullshit;
3)”Al Gore’s high-minded running mate” – unbelievable bullshit.
I vote for “always been a superficial shit.”
Brill. Too bad they went easy on him.
He’s been a turd for a long, long time.
Remember his holier than thou crap as he advocated for Clinton’s impeachment?
Oh yeah, Wonkette got that right.
From near the end of the NY Mag article:
1. “I like Obama, I was in the civil rights movement” is first cousin to “Some of my best friends are black.”
2. “I was in the civil-rights movement, I went to Mississippi to register voters.” Lieberman’s a natural soul-mate for McCain. They both use something brave and noble that they did in the 60s as their credential — singular — and don’t dare let it go.
Lieberman has always been a Republican pretending to be a Democrat. When he ran for the Senate seat in 1988, Lieberman ran to the right of the Republican Lowell Weicker. So much so that he received the endorsement of Bill Buckley in the National Review.
Very nuanced.
Ooh! Ooh! Pick door number two!
