Oddly enough, or maybe not, the good folks on the right are giggling themselves stupider than usual because the Democrats are setting up a backdrop for BarAfrika Obambatta’s acceptance speech. Sez Special Ed:
That this scales heights of presumptuousness can hardly be refuted. What genius thought of this motif? Probably the same one that concocted Vero Possumus and the Fleeing Eagle. It’s a paean to an ego run amuck — and if American voters wondered about the cult of personality that Obama has inspired, this settles the question and explicitly makes Obama the cult leader.
Because we all know that "presumptuousness" can come back to bite you in the ass when it comes to backdrops.
Meanwhile, in Minneapolis, construction crews from Halliburton are working feverishly to create a setting that will subtly convey to the American public John McCain’s qualifications for becoming Commander in Chief.

Some assembly required. Kitchen table(s) sold separately.
I think it’s three million dollars well spent, even with the cost overruns…

That would be their first use of subtlety.
Say, while I’m in the neighborhood did you know that Bob Novak has been upgraded from “very grave” to “hazardous to pedestrians”?
(Cue Primus.)
Ya know, these people are so fucking stupid it’s amazing they’re allowed to use a computer.
Wait-wait-wait… McCain was in Vietnam? Who knew?
This is my favorite part:
Right, because they were thinking about how the Lincoln Memorial would look on television from a bunch of different angles when they built it.
Scoffing at the Lincoln Memorial?
Is nothing sacred? Is there no limit to the treasonous perfidy of Special Ed and his ilk?
Wow…hysteria is fun!
They’re just worried that it’ll look like Trent Lott’s old frat house, with its motto ‘No Coloreds’.
Hey, Ed is right. Where did the Obamaites come up with this crazy idea, anyway? It’s not like any American public buildings have Greek columns or anything. Well, except maybe for the Capitol, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, and maybe a few others.
Oh, for Christ’s sake, read this
And we all know the Republicans would never, ever, under any circumstances, use columns in their backdrops.
Except when they do. Or when the White House does.
Other than those, though, never.
Obama is a secret pagan.
Speaking of Michelle Malkin…

Hey…My Tbogg-induced Malkin-plex is cured!
How strange that you just posted this. Mere minutes ago, on talk radio here in Deepest Darkest Red State, they just interviewed a former US congressman from New York named John LeBoutillier. He’s a conservative, and no friend of Obama’s, but “Boot” believes that McCain is unfit for office because of his actions, back in the early ’90s, relating to US POWs still alive in SE Asia.
Didja know/remember that we were supposed to pay Vietnam in order to get our POWs back. That we paid half, got half back, and then welched?
Yeah……. me neither.
A Classic Special Ed Column…but in what style
Doric, Ionic, and CorinthianMoronic, Ironic, or Cornholean?Nice spacing…
I read somewhere that McCain will be speaking from a pyramid shaped platform, which, if true is very appropriate since a pyramid is a a mausoleum.
They’re hoping for some of those preserving powers the pyramid is rumored to have.
