No, George Bush didn’t resign and the Republican Party didn’t disband  after issuing a brief statement: "We’re sorry. We just…well… aw, lets face it, we’re evil and we suck."

Nope. It’s a soccer post!

As you may be aware, besides being a faithful husband/basset owner/former cowboy/ somewhat popular blogger, I am a soccer dad (Know what the difference is between a soccer dad and a hockey mom? Lipstick and my daughter didn’t get knocked up by a high school drop-out "fuckin’ redneck").

But I digress….

The lovely and talented Casey’s lovely and talented college soccer team, in it’s third year of existence, finally won the first game in school history today on a  golden goal in overtime, 2-1. Making it even sweeter, they won it while playing down a player (via red card) through most of the second half and all of the overtime period. Sweeter still it was against one of the five colleges that Sarah Palin attended.

Since this is the first year with a returning coach and an actual recruiting class, we think this is progress. Best of all we now know that the L&TC won’t go 0-for college career.

So, yay.
