If it’s true that Palin made the “Sambo” crack, it’s not surprising. And if it isn’t true, how come it’s so easy to believe?

Great post, Ruthie! And let me add, Mrs. Tbogg, you underestimate women in general. Just because some of us might’ve been that stupid in high school, doesn’t mean we are now that we’re all grown up.

Caribou Barbie plays prom queen to Hillary’s band geeks. They hated her for dissing their shoes in middle school and they’re looking forward to humiliating her now. Most polls reflect this: Caribou Barbie tracks far better with Indy Penis Americans (cause that’s what they’re thinking with) than she does with Indy Vagina Americans.

We wimmin folk just ain’t that stupid.

Mrs. TBogg:

As an adult woman, Tbogg and his ilk (penis Americans) have always been my best friends as I generally find that other women don’t share my interest in sports, politics and swear words.

You wouldn’t by any chance be a fan of Florence King, would you?

If the Obama campaign is not willing to attack her on all fronts…corruption, political and religious views, pregnant 17 year-old daughter, marital affair…whatever presents itself…we may fall victim to those “girls” who still want to be a Heather. I say take off the gloves, go for the jugular and throw caution to the wind. The only way to bring them down is to play their game better than they do.

In order to play the game better than THEY do, you have to make sure you know what their game is. Yeah, Palin was a major sop for the evangelicals and the family values crowd. But they could have gotten the same bump in that demographic by anointing Huckabee–or even Karl Rove–for VP. (Let’s face it: It’s not like these people were going to rush out and vote for Obama if Romney or Lieberman got the nod….)

McCain is a straw candidate. If you believe any of the comments attributed to alleged McCain staffers on other websites, much of the time McCain has no clue what his “official position” is on an issue. (Given his intelligence, age and stunning incompetence, this seems plausible.)He seems to need a “minder.” (I had no idea McCain crashed 5 Navy aircraft! Kinda makes one wonder if the Navy left him in the POW camp instead of bartering for his release to save money.) In short, McCain needed a shield to get him through this election season so the Republicans don’t just stay home in droves. Palin is the metaphorical Depends(R) shielding his campaign from major leakage. Because the only thing that the wingnuts hate more than the possibility of a “Librul” Africanish-Muslimic-Madrassah-graduate President is the thought of backing an embarrassing loser.

Rove & Friends found McCain a pair of apron strings to hide behind, knowing full well that if the Dems attacked Caribou Barbie, that the wingnuts could play the gender discrimination card: See? SEE?! First they all voted AGAINST Billar–Hillary, then they snubbed her for the VP nomination. And now they’re trash-talkin’ OUR HISTORIC, FIRST FEMALE HOCKEY MOM VP NOMINEE–because they’re hypocrites–and because they just can’t STAND the possibility that we’re “changier” than THEY are!

This campaign needs to grow some bigger balls

Never expect “penis-Americans” to handle a woman’s job. In this case, the Democratic candidates’ hands–or tongues–are effectively tied. And god knows you can’t depend on the MSM for squat these days; but the Dems still have the largest, best educated, most eloquent and of course damned opinionated blogging base in the country. IMHO. And I think that most of us are capable of pointing out the difference between a “working mom” and a “crappy mom.”

A crappy mom uses her affiliations in her kids’ school-related activities as mere stepping stones to political positions, and treats her kids as props in campaign photo-ops. A crappy mom will make her kid go through with a pregnancy at age 17 and will insure that she keeps the baby, via shotgun wedding to a former jock and budding alcoholic with no prospects who will most likely mature into a spousal abuser.

A crappy mom is so emotionally distant from her special needs child that you can see it in the family photos. Palin’s “happy talk” about being a champion for “special education” almost made me choke on my popcorn. Trigg’s parents will NEVER have to deal with the gauntlet of IDEA or Section 504 of the Americans with Disabilities Act faced by most parents of children with special needs. As the son of a politician in a resource-rich state, Trigg’s future is safely assured: Education in a private facility and the best of care during his life–even if mom doesn’t give a rat’s a**.

Therefore, regarding the link above, please disregard my “Does anyone find this surprising?” and replace it with “Heh.

I’m pretty sure it’s a joke (along the lines of Betty Bowers, America’s Best Christian), but it’s still mightly funny!

As poor spelling and lack of logic, you’d be amazed at the weird arguments fundies have given me on mainstream sites:

After I had posted about supporting Obama for silly things like ending the war, fixing the economy and spending our tax dollars HERE; one woman babbled on about “you need to understand most Americans don;t work for Fortune 500 companies, they work for small businesses in small towns. This is really the heart of America” And later more babbling about the same (when I basically asked what the eff that had to do with the price of tea in China) along with “they don’t care about the rest of the world, just the happiness of their families”. And someone else (the was very shortly after Klondike Barbie’s nomination) commented at least she was “scandle free”.

Cause no Repug ever gonna worry about logic or making sense!

OMFG! That site is a hoot! The spelling and grammar are horrible and the logic is insane, even for a christianist right-winger. I think it must be a sham; one of their blogroll links is to Jesus’ General, the manly blogger.

Thanks to Mrs. Tbogg for saying it so clearly. It’s sometimes better for women to say what Penis-Americans will be chastised for (and besides, most of them liked the Heathers in high school).

And for those who care: I bought my Prius over four years ago and I still get asked if you can drive it on the freeway. Yes, you can. And my husband, on the rare occasions I allow him to drive it (he has his own decidedly more studly vehicle) marvels at its performance on the highway. Still.
