I guess there is some shit so awful that even the wingnuts won’t eat it. Who knew?

I am enjoying watching the “All ordinary Americans are stupid rubes!” wingnut talking point finally come back to bite them in the ass.

I think Dred Scott died and is buried in St. Louis. Perhaps Sarah “Jo Five-Pack” could visit the grave and take in a little history? Nah, they probably have stuff like that in Alaska, since it’s a microcosm of America anyway…

“Neither can any normal American, i.e., one that is neither a lawyer nor a political junkie.” nor political junkie or some elitist 8th grader that passed civics.
Christ on crutch! I mean, I may be a football junkie but I’m guessing normal Cowboy fans think Tony Romo should be able to recognize more than one defensive package.

Here’s another point about the supreme court issue, and maybe part of the reason the wingnuts are getting restless. Dobson and others in Palin’s cheering section are in politics for one reason only: to change the composition of the Supreme Court. Shouldn’t they know a little bit about it, then? Even for the incurious wingnut, you have to know Roe AND Dred Scott, since they are bookend cases in the wingnut view.

Did she really not know Dred? Friends, that’s not fundamentalism we can believe in. And what about the fact she thinks there is a constitutional right of privacy. HELLO? Either that girl is not a fundie or she has been invaded by witches. Since I don’t believe in witches, I think she is just using this fundie stuff for crass political reasons.

…or that you gave someone an Identi-Kit and said, “Make me a generic female wingnut. Improbable hair, glassy stare, patently fake smile–you know the drill.”

Is there a Carol Platt Liebau? Looks like John Travolta in makeup and a wig, perhaps getting into character for an upcoming movie role.

…like sticking your finger in a dike, but they’d get all upset…

True, unless you’re really good at it. Then they probably wouldn’t mind.
