Listen, I’m fairly sure Palin won’t be the total trainwreck we’ve seen in recent interviews. But to think she is going to speak extemporaneously with any sort of coherence on the wide range of issues on the table tonight is ludicrous.

She may be able to give a bunch of non-answers that sound like answers, but there’s no way in hell she can maintain that through the whole debate. At some point, she’ll expose her idiocy.

Geez, I just saw Biden on teevee, and the pearly-whites were on display. Guess that’s just the rictus of fear.

I wish Hillary was representing the Dems in this debate because she could make mincemeat out of her without running the risk of being called sexist (which is such a fucking cop out and curdles my blood every time I hear it). For example, last week Nader accused Bill Maher of being sexist for calling Palin a bimbo. Come fucking on already. She’s every ounce the bimbo George Bush is.

Personally, I want to see Biden circle overhead and take shots at her.

Sadly the debate format is rigged to let Bible Spice use her tried and true tactic of spouting a non-responsive word salad as her “answer”, and as I understand it opportunities for direct follow-up will be “limited”, whatever that means.

Still, with the media narrative running against her and public skepticism rampant I don’t think she’ll get away with it.

The pundits are going to be shocked again, because they were all just on MSNBC saying she would play it cautious and go for no mistakes, because, of course, that’s what they would do in her shoes.

Why doesn’t he call her out on this. Point out that it took tons and tons of prep for her to remember all of those insults. He could say something like, “I’ve made mistakes. They were my mistakes. They weren’t the mistakes of a team of handlers who sent me out there to talk about something I knew nothing about.” There is no reason to be nice if she goes on the attack nobody expects it. He could say something like, “I assume the Gov. is probably a nice woman but she should go back to the disciples of Karl Rove that told her to say all of that stuff and tell them..’Not this time, America’s had enough!’”
