…new polls indicate growing doubt over whether [Palin] is ready for what the job might hold.

Palin, 44, faces increasing skepticism over whether she is ready to serve as president should there be cause for her accession, particularly in the aftermath of a series of exclusive television interviews.

Just 25 per cent of likely voters think Palin has the right experience to be president, according to an Associated Press-Gfk poll released Wednesday. That number is down from 41 per cent who expressed confidence in the first-term Alaska governor following her appearance at the GOP convention last month.

The poll indicated even Republican-leaning voters were increasingly suspicious of her abilities, with 47 per cent saying she has the right experience to be president, down from 75 per cent in the earlier survey.

Here’s what I was reminded of:

You might think it upset me that Paul Metzler had decided to run against me but nothing could be further from the truth. He was no competition for me; it was like apples and oranges. I had to work a little harder, that’s all, see I believe in the voters; they understand that elections aren’t just popularity contests, they know this country was built by people just like me who work very hard and don’t have everything handed to them on a silver spoon. Not like some rich kids who everybody likes because their fathers owns Metzlers cement and give them trucks on their 16th birthday and throw them big parties all the time. No, they don’t ever have to work for anything. They think they can just all of a sudden one day out of the blue waltz right in with no qualifications what’s so ever and try to take away what other people have worked very, very hard for their entire lives. No, it didn’t bother me at all.

Finally. That quote made me remember who Caribou Barbie reminds me of: Dolores Umbridge as played by Imelda Staunton in Harry Potter. The slightly petulant finger-wagging “yes, I know I am dumb as mud, but let that not prevent me from lecturing you about smartness…” attitude.

Of course, Bible Spice will work harder tonight; Daddy won’t be there to jump in and “let her speak for herself”. Work smarter? Probably not an option at this point in her life’s trajectory.

Well, its not stupid at all. In that midst of that word salad she managed to imply that there were some “comments” out there from Ifill (she may have meant the upcoming debate questions but its purposely obscure) that are problematic. Most of her listeners, to the extent they can grasp anything she said, will understand her to be responding graciously to the over the top hate speech/pro obama/blackity black blackness of Ifill as expressed in “some comments” that are “out there” already.

Who was that other idiotic douchenozzle politician who was always talking about “hard work” and “working hard”? You know; the one who started a couple of wars with third world countries and then managed to not-win them for five years. Damn, I should know this. He’s the guy that trashed the economy. What’s his name.

I figure that if the Republicans can completely forget him then I should too.
