I had extremely low expectations for their “big news”, but after finding out that it’s an Ayers video I almost felt sorry for the McCain campaign. ALMOST. Steve Schmidt, the campaign’s senior strategist, seems to have all of the strategic instincts & success of Wile Coyote.

Ya know, when I was a kid, we had a next door nieghbor who was like 80 something. All the kids in the nieghborhood called her “Aunt Gladys”. She always had these butterscotch hard candies that she would give to the kids if they asked. We would ask virtually every day. One day, Aunt Gladys asked my brother and I to weed her garden and if we did she would give us “a big surprise!” So we spent about an hour weeding her garden and we did a great job. When we were done Aunt Gladys brought us each one butterscotch each.
