Maybe the Dems should take a page from the Karl Rove playbook: Appoint HoJoe to Collin Powell’s old job. (He’s so hot to nuke Iran, he wouldn’t turn it down.) Let Joe placate the Israelis and our few remaining friends in Europe, but route all of information and the important decisions around him. This would free up Lieberman’s seat for a real Democrat. And since executive branch members serve at the pleasure of the President, the minute he started whining or getting too cozy with the Rethugs he could be kicked out on his ass. If he doesn’t take the job, launch an investigation into his wife’s cozy relationship with pharmaceutical manufacturers. This should generate enough taint for an impeachment.

Lieberhole isn’t going to be doing anything till 2010 except looking to set himself up for a cushy job with a lobbying shop. He knows he’s toast in 2010. The ultimate fuck you to Joe would be for Obama to appoint him to some really important job that he really really wants, making sure his successor is a true blue Democrat(the Conn. governor is a Repub) and then have Obama fire his ass. This not only gets rid of Holy Joe but also lets the Repubs know that Obama isn’t going to put up with shit. BTW, Holy Joe has campaigned for Coleman and Susan Collins. If this doesn’t get Reid pissed off then Reid needs to out of his leadership position. There is no reason Reid needs to be nice to Lieberman if the Dems are above 53. Lieberhole isn’t going to be there when you really need him anyway.

I say we give Traitor Joe all the power he wants, then blame everything we can’t get done on him. He’s our scapegoat, and will be the rallying cry for the 2010 midterms. Dem leaders can keep the base activated in 2010 by saying we need 62 Senators or more to overcome the “Lieberman factor.”

Might as well make him useful for something, since we know no matter what we do to compromise with him, he’ll screw us eventually.

Although….making him less important than Jon Tester’s barber is tempting.
