In crazy Loonyland, Barack Obama is losing California and since California is the most liberal state in the universe, that means McCain is going to win in a landslide and Sarah Palin will be able to keep all of the clothes because she will need them when she is Queen of the Senate making policy and amendments and treaties and stuff.

Teh awesome. Once the Maverick regime is in place those of us in the unpatriotic regions of the country will be sent to re-education camp in Nome, AK, to learn how to be real Americans. Or we’ll be shot from helicopters — the memo is not real clear on that one.
Fucking retards.
OH COME THE FUCK ON.
There’s a lot of this early vote counting going on at Kos, too. I guess I just don’t understand the significance, when anyone who wants to vote (presumably) now knows where and when this can take place, and knows that they have eight days to either mail in their absentee ballot or show up at the polls in person.
When the race is over, knowing that the outlook on Oct. 27th wasn’t as bad as the outlook at the finish will be cold consolation at best.
That Moe Lane….he’s a regular little paranoid dictator, isn’t he? Maintaining posting purity must be a around-the-clock job for this guy. I’ll bet he has his house barricaded so no one can break in.
Smile redstaters. That red dot on your forehead isn’t the laser sight of a Predator, you just turned Hindoo and didn’t know it.
He admits that he’s assuming that all of the Republicans will vote for McCain/Palin. I have some sad news for him, and I’m very happy to be one of those registered Republicans who will vote for Obama.
Well, a big hug for you!!
I only hope I can say the same, and give a hug, to my middle son voting in his first election. He registered Repub so he could vote against Huckabee, who had dropped out of the race before the D.C. primary. He says that our vote “doesn’t count” in D.C. (which went 89 percent for Kerry in ‘04). I say every vote counts, or should.
Anyway, opiejeanne1, good on ya!
These people are all at the airport, waiting for their ship to come in.
I only wish I had bumped into Tbogg’s blogging years ago. Some great stuff here.
First good news from Georgia. We have defeated the Republican Secretary of State’s voter supression attempts by using matching lists this afternoon because the 3 judge panel ordered all votes to count and any flagged voters must be given plenty of notice. We have had about 700,000 new registrants and 700,000 early voters. Almost all of these are Obama and Martin for Senate voters and Georgia is very much in play now. If someone for example were calling himself Tom Bogg on his SS# and Tbogg on his Driver’s License, and a full name on his voter registration, he could have been flagged and made ineligible. This won’thappen now. In addition many of the DL and SS# lists had high percentages of inaccurate entries.
This was one of the many organized attempts to get Obama voters off the lists, and it was defeated in the 3 Judge Panel Order this afternoon.
Thanks to ACLU, and several other groups who did a superlative job of briefing in this case. These efforts aren’t sexy and don’t get a lot of national attention but they are significant and very real. They are trying to steal the vote again in every state and failing.

I’d like to give a big shout out to mah good fren Senatuh Ted Stevens who has had a slight crimp put in his campaign for Senatuh of the Great State of Alaska. He was neck and neck but now he has been shoved way back.
The meanest sombitch in da Senate evah was found Guilty on all counts. Instead of going to the 111th Senate, he’ll be going to Sentencing January 26, 2009. He will become the meanest sombitch at a BOP Hospital who sweeps the floors and he will not like the food and accomodations ah think.
Judge Sullivan will probably cut him some sentencing slack because of prosecutorial misconduct on the part of DOJ (surprise surprise) but I don’t think he’ll be able to skate with probation because of the fact that he is a US Senator and they don’t get federally convicted every day or much in 200 years.
I should add that although Stevens has an excellent attorney Brendan Sullivan, and he will shout hard on his appeal as to the witness being sent home and he will try to muster a Rule 23(b) appeal on loss of the jury (but it will fall flat on its face because Judge Sullivan followed procedure perfectly there), I doubt it will be enough to get a reversal or remand in the D.C. Circuit, and the real significance is that I expect him to lose his election, but if he does win the Senate will expell him.
Currently Begich is beating him in most polls by a couple points:
Stevens Currently Losing in Alaska Senate Race
Thank ya kindly. I told someone here last week that I will change my registration as soon as the election is over, but not before that because it feels like I’m putting an exclamation point on my vote. I also love that it screws with the current candidate’s imaginary vote-count.
I think Reagan’s first term was the last time I voted for a Republican Presidential candidate.
These people are all at the airport, waiting for their ship to come in.
Except it’s not an airport, but the Lakehurst Naval Air Station. And their “ship” is the rigid airship Hindenburg.
As McCain’s campaign goes down in flames on Nov. 4th, I expect some Faux News talking hairdo to tearfully exclaim “Oh, the humanity!”
Thanks so much for posting this! As additional good news from Georgia, Mr. Marion in Savannah and I were planning on voting this afternoon after I got off work. Not a chance in hell he could stand on that LOOOOOOONG line (he’s got COPD), so we’re going to have to find a time with shorter lines, if possible. And judging from the folks on line they were not standing there desperate to vote for McCain. We’ll probably wind up getting to the early polling place nearest us before it opens, hoping that we’ll be toward the front of the line.
That being said, we STILL have to get rid of those iniquitous touch-screen machines…
As a life-long yellow dog Democrat I’ve been known (depending on where I lived) to register as a Republican just so I could screw around in the primaries… Yeah, I’m evil… [snicker]
But if you live in the 49th State and have a chance to crash Stevens’ “going away party,” it may be your chance to taste a truly superior Bordeaux or Chateu d’Yqem, as the market for investment wines is rather flat right now. He’s not about to leave that wine cellar in the house that kickbacks built to the Democrats!
Hooray! on the Georgia win! That’s awesome. We’re starting to pile them up! First Minnesota. Then Ohio. Now Georgia. Montana GOP got piled on by our head Supreme. Yay!
I’ll plug for donations to the ACLU. It costs money to challenge this crap but they are really doing a good job here.
