Sadly, a lot of the lizardbrains have never seen a black middle-class or professional person. They’re there but the just don’t see them. So the Obamas don’t register. They don’t know of any black lawyers other than Johnnie Cochran. Other than that, it’s athletes, recording artists, and actors at one end and guys in orange jumpsuits on the TV at the other.

That’d be Achillies heel sorry for the typo. The machines and the Sec States who know no matter what they do they won’t do jail time for it are two of the biggest threats in this election that haven’t been dealt with completely.

The Achilles heal of the amazingly run campaign are those machines. They are easily hacked, and Premier has your state and mine sewn up with no attention to their hackability, and the large number of provisional and challenge ballots that put voters in limbo after orders from courts and 3 judge panels currently.

They are flipping Obama votes to McCain right and left and flipping downticket votes in several states. This is a well known incompetence and few have addressed it.

There is a suit against the machines in more than one state, but the litigation on the machines does not seem to be having much impact.

The litigation on vote caging has been almost uniformly successful.

A judge filed a cease and desist order against the Colorado Sec State this afternoon after he defied an order and continued knocking people’s votes off the rolls. From TPM Muck:

Earlier today, Coffman told the Rocky Mountain News that the settlement “still allowed him to remove voters from the state rolls when he found duplicate names, people who moved or deceased voters.” An interpretation voter rights groups have roundly dismissed.

“The Court unambiguously stated that Colorado’s voter cancellation practices violated federal law,” Myrna Perez counsel for the Brennan Center for Justice — a party in the suit — told TPMmuckraker. “The Secretary of State and Colorado counties must provide the agreed upon safeguards to protect the voters adversely affected by the illegal practices.”

The suit against Coffman alleged that more than 35,000 voters were purged from the rolls based on a faulty system for identifying illegitimate voters, and within 90 days of the election — both of which violate the federal Voting Rights Act. The settlement allowed for 20,000 purged voters to be put back on the rolls and cast provisional ballots in Tuesday’s election.

My fear goggles are focused on voting machines being able to flip a 5% lead by Obama in battleground states. Those are my fears.

McCain, confident that he will win late on election night……those machines just seem to have a mind of their own and they always vote for the Republican Party….isn’t it amazing?????

I’m waiting for the w’nuts to go apeshit crazy over the phrase “happy holidays” because you know it’s coming.

Whaaa??? You think the wingnuts would prefer “gay holidays”?

Or is it that they’d object to “holidays” in the plural — like we should only wish “happy my holiday and no one else’s. F*** the rest of those damn holidays.”
