After the landslide loss, I drank something that was probably gasoline and puked all over the unisex bathroom across the hall.

Heh. Once the election was called for Bush, a friend of mine came over to visit, in a serious funk. She was an uptight, very politically active youngster who knew better than the rest of us hippies just what a Bush presidency was going to mean. She asked if I had anything to drink, and I unwisely pointed her to the nearly-full fifth of Stolichnaya that I had in my little dorm room freezer. She drank the entire contents of the bottle in a single pull; I’ve never seen anything like it. After that she behaved about like you did - we had unisex bathrooms too.

That was a fucked-up day, for sure. I’m hoping for better from this one, and I hope my friend is happy and drunk in a more moderate fashion, wherever she is.

Mrs. Tbogg can instruct the L&TC regarding a nice wine when the time comes.

Until the appropriate legal age, the kid will have to just take a slug of whatever she can find in the big barrel o’ drinks at whatever party she attends.

Like the rest of us did.

Is that a Bud Lite though?

I was thinking it’s even worse — Miller Lite.

Then again, it aint a bottle O’whiskey, a flask filled with vodka, nor a wine skin full of Althaus.

Smaht kid, dat. Smaht kid.

The only thing better than 1 kid voting for Obama, is 2 kids voting for Obama! My daughter called tonight and she’s quite concerned about the election (aren’t we all?). It’s great to see them interested in stuff other than boys and Facebook.

BTW, my little Princess just turned 21 and recounted her first booze purchase. Bought herself a bottle of wine (cheap) on her birthday. The register at the packy store played “Happy Birthday”! Ain’t technology grand?

Ha! It’s too bad John Cleese had to break the news to Michael that he’s not the funniest Palin anymore.

Just realized the cemetery pictured in the Hawaii 5-0 Intro is Punchbowl, where Obama’s grandpa is buried.

I came to a TBogg thread and a Four Yorkshiremen sketch broke out!

We not only had to brew our own beer, we had to grow all our own barley and hops, cultivate the yeast, and carry water in buckets from a stream five miles away, walking uphill through the snow in both directions.

gaddamn. That flag looks like some sort of TV test pattern. Think I just passed through the doors of perception after staring at it too long.

Oh yea that would be one kick-ass Presidential theme:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AepyGm9Me6w

Makes sense since Obama was running around Hawaii during the time that show was made. I’d also love to see him have William Ayers, Rev. Wright, and Louis Farahkhan up on stage with him during his inauguration.

Back when I was in college we had to brew our own beer!

Sadly I think the first election I could vote in was also GHWB vs Dukakis. Life isn’t fair. But we did brew some damn good beer back in the day. Came in handy afterwards as I recall. Oh well.
