Saying Bill Kristol never gets anything right is clearly an overstatement. Barring evidence to the contrary, it seems fair to suppose that he puts his shoes on the right feet in the morning, knows how to butter his toast and may be able to brush his teeth. These are not, however, things that I want to read about.

I wave a white flag. .127 was a literary stretch, a moment of weakness. I didn’t want little Billy to cry so I padded his stats.

lifetime batting average of .127

Really? Billy the K has been right roughly one out of eight tries? I would have estimated his average at a pristine 0.000.

I defy you to provide ANY example EVER of Billy the K being right on ANYTHING. (And, no, spelling his name correctly doesn’t count [besides which, someone at the Times probably does that for him]).

It’s as close as he’ll ever get to acknowledging his long career with a lifetime batting average of .127 is due to being a legacy. Let’s learn from this. Just because your dad played in the bigs doesn’t mean you can. In fact prolly the opposite.

A hawkish foreign policy, social conservatism and middle-American populism aren’t the problems.

Hopefully, the GOP will continue to listen to the wisdom that comes from the keyboard of Bill Kristoll.

Billy’s making progress.

So, HELLO NYT, why are you paying this guy for his opinion?
