Just yesterday, out of the blue, I thought about Joe Walsh’s “ILBTs.” And now, today, I read “Daybyday” and I just don’t get it.

I’ll stick with Joe Walsh.

Is it just me, or is the artwork at DBD actually getting worse?

The windows/boxes on the screen, the monitor itself, and the monitor stand all seem to exist in different spacial dimensions. No two are in perspective agreement with each other.

I know his readers are supposed to be distracted by the cartoon boobies, but his continuing problem with drawing perspective drives me crazy.

Is the premise that she has a pay-to-view web cam? And the wankers are disappointed with the baby-on-girl action? Creepy.

I think he does a good job drawing considering he’s using one hand…

All I can figure out is that God takes a Jeff MacNelly because he wants good cartoonists in Heaven. That explains why a Chris Muir is still here.

I cannot even begin to fathom where he thought he was going with this one. Caligula was all about breastfeeding and morning sickness? The webcam viewer wants to see Jan in the bathroom? Showing your boobs on camera is rendering unto Caesar … what exactly?

Seriously, it’s like a comic strip by someone with a severe head injury. And a boob fetish.

Pam Oshry is more coherent than this.

With all the remakes of 70’s and 80’s drek going on – Knight Rider! Bionic Woman! Dukes of Hazzard! heck, I’ve heard rumors of a new Karate Kid movie and a remake of The Last Dragon with Samuel L. Jackson as Sho’Nuff (!) – why can’t they remake/update Mother, Jugs, and Speed? A lot of people in that movie – Cosby playing a swearing drunk/stoner, Welch, Keitel, Hagman, Allen Garfield, Bruce Davison, even Dick Butkus. You’ve got pot smoking, hostage-taking, an ambulance driver scaring the shit out of nuns crossing the street as a hobby, a young woman paramedic-in-training removing a zipper from a man’s penis, suicide, and necrophilia – what’s not to love?

I guess I should follow the strip more closely, because this doesn’t make a lot of sense. Unless the two babies are named Caesar and Caligula. Or perhaps those are the names of the two tits.

But she uses a Mac, the epitome of hip!

Oh Jebus. I didn’t think Day By Day could get any worse than it has already been.

Why doesn’t dude just start drawing Hentai comics and get it over with.

It’d certainly be more entertaining than Day by Day.

That would require a level of self-honesty he will never possess.
