You must not oppose gay marriage. They will come for you. They will come for your family. They will work to oust you from your job.
This reminds me of something from this month’s Wired. Someone wrote in asking a question: their office has a network where everyone shares iTunes. Some Christian has sermons that are “anti-gay” in her iTunes. The guy wanted to know if he should complain and have the co-worker fired for intolerance.
In this country, we’ve gone from a Red Scare to a red, white, and blue scare. People with traditional American values are to be hunted down, fired from their jobs, and destroyed.
Does this mean that Operation Leper is no longer operative?
We intend to constantly remind the base about these people, monitor who they are working for, and, when 2012 rolls around, see which candidates hire them. Naturally then, you’ll see us go to war against those candidates.

For shame, doc! Huntin’ wabbits with an elephant gun!
Actually, for years (if not decades), Democrats have been hunting elephant with a rabbit gun…
As for suing over intolerant messages in a shared iTunes setup…that’s actually a very interesting issue in terms of employment law, hostile work environs, private use of company resources, and a bunch of other issues. I may have to look into that. (Yeah, I’m a lawyer, although I haven’t practiced law in about 12 years…)

Nahh. Just upload this right back and see what happens.
I had a very similar situation at my workplace where I had three people fired for sharing the Captain and Tenille’s “Muskrat Love” on our I-Tunes network. No one complained.

Uh-huh. What a true genius.
On our iTunes network, I’m being forced to listen to “Freebird” over and over. Can I sue?
Don’t. If you complain about that tune, they’ll replace it with Scott Stapp.
And with the threatened Creed reunion, won’t that be teh awesome?
“Does this mean that Operation Leper is no longer operative?”
The ADD on the far right is quite striking. They can go from hating gays, to hating blacks, to hating muslims, to hating little kids, to hating uppity women to hating liberals, to hating their own, and right back to hating gays all in the same news cycle.
The challenge, I think, is to encourage this kind of behavior: the more they bounce around, the less focused and efficient their hatred will be. It’s only when determined hate-professionals like the Mormons get involved (See Prop. that they actually accomplish something significant with their bigotry.
Subtle, but I don’t think you can intimidate Tbogg into editing this out of his library to avoid its possible random ten debut.
Who made the conservatives the custodians of traditional American values? Although I am a combat veteran, married thirty years, and volunteer at our local schools, I don’t have traditional American values because I am an unreconstructed old Lefty. On the other hand, a greedy, shallow, ignorant, hack politician from a government-subsidized state is immediately an exemplar of those same traditional values. Red State Eric couldn’t find his ass with both hands if he started started at his knees and worked North.
If your mode of attack is defensive flailing, you’re bound to hit yourself in the nose a few times. [another difference between Rs and Ds: defensive flailing vs. defensive crouch]
But you read this blog, Eric, here’s a defense for you: “It’s not a contradiction, it’s a dilemma!” [Oregon high school debate, circa 1977]
If someone plays “Sweet Home Alabama” within earshot of me, I’ll sue them for oppressing Neil Young.
there’s a word for this in old Norse, all modern-day vikings know it: “Iokiyar”. it means “Shut Up, That’s Why!!”
Erick hasn’t mentioned Operation Leper in quite a while. Could be because of the three names he’s named, one turned out to be a hoax and the another he had to retract. He’s moved on to bigger and better things, like trolling for nude pics of Jennifer Granholm (no joke – check out today’s Red State and scroll down). Stay classy, Erick.
Captain and Tenille constitute assault with a dead weapon. They are lucky they did not face criminal prosecution.
Oh hey, sometimes it’s worth it to click through:
Talk about undermining your argument from the get-go.
Is Erick afraid that he’ll have to marry a guy? I think that’s the issue. He won’t know what music to play at the reception.
I blame the autistic children.

lolz, eric teh red.
Liberace.
dude man, i wanna one of them astronutz suit where ya can jest shit yourself due to exposure of teh misssion.
Oddly enough, muskrats are all Mormon. I had a couple of them show up on my doorstep recently.
Question 1: someone said here the other night that Eric is either engaged or married to Commissar Monica Goodling. Is this true?
Question 2: what’s with redstate.com’s website.. and why’s is it “wordpress” now? can’t afford their own url anymore?
Dr. Freud, call your office.

ah thanks. Michael Krempasky, Eric’s buddy. Oh well, they’ll probably end up sharing her anyway.

Barney Frank kickin’ some ass on the Maddow Show
Just flip “gay” and “christian” and imagine how they’d react then…

He isn’t even correct. I saw the article in question and he was asking if he should confront his coworker, not about trying to get her fired.
MKK
Sweet Home Alabama sung by this group does not oppress anyone, right?
Eric the Red bloviates on teh internets. Where do I sue?
