I pity them their hatred of their inheritance. Actually of both their inheritances, Jewish and American. They are pip-squeaks, and I do not much read them. But when any one of them writes a real doozey it is likely to come to my attention.
I pity Marty’s wife the loss of her inheritance. No wonder she left him.

Snark fails me. Peretz is just a completely insipid, pointless, horrid douchebag of a human being, and reading the completely fucknuts foreskin police in comments magnifies the problem. Obviously, if you’re not jewish, you can’t suggest any fault by Israel or you’re an anti-semite, although ironically, if you are a jew, criticism of Israeli is still antisemitic. These fools don’t care about peace or arabs or jews or Israel, they just love the bloodspray and the body count, it’s neocon viagra. As Earth-shattering as the death of a single Israeli jew is to Marty, the death of a muslim in Israel fills Marty with glee.
If anti-Semitism was to ever gain a solid foothold in this country, it would be due to the efforts of people like Peretz.
He has the Jonah-like habit of attempting to dismiss his critics as beneath him while obsessively writing about them.
Wow. You gotta admire Peretz’s chutzpah in using “flippant” at the end of his little screed. You’d think he’d be concerned it might come back to bite him on the ass, given his otherwise casual approach to casualties, but that sort of consideration would require mental and moral acrobatics clearly quite beyond his abilities.
Anyone know if Marty’s TNR towel boy Jamie Kirchick is a Log Cabib KKKid? Teh google didn’t give me a quick answer. The Right – they’re all so unusual in the same awful way.

I, and most of Spencer, Matt and Ezra’s regular readers IMHO, usually ignore Marty Peretz, so it is a draw.

Two observations:
One, I would rather read Ackermans grocery list than anything Peretz has ever written. And two, he needs a refresher on the difference between a critic of unchecked Zionism and an anti-Semite.

I smell a Jamie Kirchick missive about anti-Semitism among American Jews (i.e. E. Klein, Ackerman, Alterman, etc.) being in the works for next week’s TNR.
TNR is still around? I thought MAD Magazine closed it the same time they hired Peretz to be the new spokesretard after Alfred Newman retired.
Saying that being against Israel’s occupation is anti-American is a start. Fuck that.
